Bit controversal but, Is Koeman the right man, some strange subs/tactics etc no plan B, i'm always behind saints so all you do gooders pipe down just curious on peoples opinions.

Koeman is the right man. We have always packed someone who can threaten with speed breaking into the penalty area. That's a Vardy for you.

We are OK with possession but cannot turn possession into goals. We are out of the CC now, never going to get into Europe, so we need to know how to ground out results if we cannot find a striker in the January Transfer window.

In a sentence, Fitness and desire.

2.) 06 Dec 2015 19:55:55
Something we had in poch.

3.) 08 Dec 2015 14:24:25
Saint U21 just beat a very good Spurs U 21 team - many of whom have played Prem this season - my one issue with Koeman is he has not played U21 players enough - we do have pace and ability in the current U21 team - but we need to use players to see if they can handle the step up to full professional senior leagues - who were Deli Ali / Harry Kane / Ryan Mason 2 years ago?

Does yoshi never learn.

dsj20v

1.) 28 Nov 2015 17:37:44
Yes, Yoshida needs to learn fast but let's face it he ain't a right back.
The person who has to take the blame for continuing to play him at right back when he is clearly s*#t is Koeman.
WTF when we have a proper right back that knows what he is doing and is sat out?

2.) 29 Nov 2015 06:56:41
Never ever ever play him there again. There must be a better option? Drop Davis in there. I don't know but not not Yosh. He has cost us two games now. On the plus the second half performance attacking wise looked good and caulker didn't do too bad when he came on.

3.) 29 Nov 2015 10:58:29
Koeman obviously feels Maya can do a job there or he wouldn't play him there.
I know what you're saying, RK possibly felt Maya had more defensive qualities than cedric - who knows.

4.) 30 Nov 2015 08:38:00
What's the old saying. "attack is the best form of defence".
With Yosh at RB we just invite pressure as opposed to Cedric who gets forward and puts pressure on the opposition. Hopefully this doesn't happen again.

5.) 30 Nov 2015 23:01:01
Cedric was out injured so it's pointless arguing over whether or not he should have started.

Believe it or not Yoshida beats Martina for pace, he's also better in the air so there's an advantage with corners/balls into the area. We should probably have a better back up RB but out of the options we have Yoshida is the better choice against teams like City

I find it highly hypocritical when saints fans moan about how there's no loyalty in football when a player wants to leave but then have no problem slating players when they have a bad game or two.

Support every player, quit bitching and moaning about every little thing and y'know what? You'll probably enjoy it a lot more.

6.) 01 Dec 2015 12:24:02
Well I for one hope that he doesn't start against Liverpool otherwise we can kiss goodbye to any chance of progressing further!

7.) 01 Dec 2015 19:53:19
If cedric is injured then not sure what choices we have? Guess only other option is caulker at rb. Could vvd play there?

8.) 01 Dec 2015 20:39:24
Just seen fonte out for wed. So I would go bertrand vvd yosh caulker. Any other suggestions as rk seems not to rate martina?

9.) 01 Dec 2015 20:43:18
Yoshida has played in 17 games this season (incl pre-season and Europa) . W8 D5 L4 with 8 clean sheets. A couple of mistakes doesn't make him a bad player.

10.) 02 Dec 2015 07:20:57
Not saying he is a bad player. As a back up center back he has done well. As a back up Right back though he just doesn't cut it. Tonight he might go three at the back or try someone different at RB. Yosh gets drawn on to center back positions when he is playing out right as its his natural position. Proved by the last goal on the weekend.

How on earth have stoke got shaquiri, he wouldve been perfect for saints exactly what we need, come on les pull your finger out

dsj20v

1.) 02 Jul 2015 14:51:28
I agree, he'd be a great addition and if Stoke can get him there's no reason why we can't, they've only reportedly agreed a fee

Don't understand why we would even bother looking into Gibson at 30m you could almost get Hoedt and Yannick Vestergaard for that combined.

Makes me laugh how people think kl will only sell to right bidder, she will sell to first with the money although Lander don't appear to have it. It says it all when due to new upcoming epl regs Lander wouldn't pass fit and proper test but appear to have snunk in there or so it seems just because Kat has made a friend in the daughter. Why are we not an attractive club to buy? Why aren't there more suitors? Just have a really bad feeling.

I really don't know how Black got the job. Surely Les looked at his cv, also the same with Pellegrino his Alaves side yes finished 8th but hardly scored and were defensive as he'll. He was sacked from Valencia for similar (to be fair a lot of quality sold) . So why did Les promise high pressing attacking football? They were never Mp's traits. Time is up for Les, he has to go along with Black, Mp, Ross Wilson and Dave Watson, there is an air of Reeds gang with this lot and it's taking us down, from Poch the managers have got progressively worse, the goalkeeping situation is horrendous, the lack of vision that every fan see's when we needed a ACM to score and create, the ego of Les who let's face it was shocking as a manager is using us as his own championship manager game, exactly where were heading, blowing is own self importance when we were at Wembley and 2 seasons ago when the media loved us and we were seen as the template for others, but now when things are going rotten he's hidden in his ego bubble to worried about media team putting out stupid little videos and the whole ' my way ' being played before games which is very apt coming from him, how about coming out along with our new invisible owner to explain to the fans the intentions and what's going on, sorry about the rant but I love saints but it's really starting to boil my blood.

Look at blacks cv, it's a damn site worse than just villa, relegated with Wigan, relegated with Blackburn, nearly took Rotherham down until sacked when Warnock saved them, won only a couple of games for Blackpool out of about 20, then him and Barnes took the reins at Celtic and were woeful.

Unfortunately yes a complete clueless numpty out of his depth, again take off our most likely player in boufal yet leave the overrated and under talented Redmond who seems untouchable along with Tadic on the pitch.

It was quite funny I didn't know much about gabbi so after reading a fair bit I was very disappointed, such a poor goal record, but after a whirlwind start and mates ribbing me i'd admit I was wrong however is he slipping back that way or is it our atrocious service and lack of support, he has very intelligent movement but when you have blind wingers like Redmond who can't spot a pass if it smacked him in the face what hope have we got, so perhaps it's time for 2 up top, I like Austin but I feel Long would be the better foil for him.
