Hi guys can anyone tell me why we are looking to sell Michael Obafemi? Surely Shane Long must be in his last season and Obafemi has plenty of time to improve. I welcome anyone with better knowledge. Coyr.

Its been reported that Villa and West Brom are thinking of bidding about £10M for Obafemi. I'm not sure that Ralph places much trust in him so he could be looking to bring someone else in which would make selling him a sensible option. Haven't heard any rumours about a striker coming in though.

The lads known to have, er, ‘personal issues’ that have stopped him progressing as much as Ralph would have liked - same with Slattery, I wouldn’t be surprised to see both moved on unless they’ve made significant changes.

If we are being offered £10m and are getting in another striker, as much as he has talent and I’d like to see him develop, I think take the money and run.

Thank you guys.

According to the Sun we're looking at Danny Wellbeck again. He's available for £5.5M but I would assume that he's been earning silly money and his injury record isn't good plus he's 29 years old which goes against Ralph's philosophy so I would be surprised if anything comes of it.

If there is any truth in our reported interest in Danny Welbeck all I can say that we already have Shane Long to keep the Club physios very busy!
