As I told you 4 months ago, Saints are trying to sign Sverre Nypan but are facing huge obstacles to completing a deal. Nypan is the next Odeggard, fingers crossed we get him.
29 Aug 2024 13:31:21
JWP getting closer, on loan. Yuri will be a purchase, Flamengo in serious financial trouble and must raise several millions before end of September. If JWP doesn't sign then Yuri will be a 2.5/3.00 loan with option to buy. Don't be surprised to see Fraser or Willian signed after closure of window.
1.) 29 Aug 2024 17:05:39
Do you mean Corinthians in financial trouble?
2.) 29 Aug 2024 17:50:34
Sky sports reporting Yuri highly unlikely now. As for Jwp perfect fit for our pass sideways and backwards style. Should be great counting how many passes we make before the opposition score! Jwp not for me. And as long as Stephens plays it doesn't matter who we have in goal.
3.) 29 Aug 2024 18:04:51
I think max cornet is more likely to fill the loan spot, although I would love to see JWP back, lesly and flynn with mattheus/aribo/smallbone/dibbling competing for places would only be a good thing.all though we do seem to be linked with just about every player at the moment!
4.) 29 Aug 2024 18:46:01
Where’s the out and out striker we were promised? Why Yuri not coming? If we don’t get the goals we are down simples
5.) 29 Aug 2024 20:38:57
I think archer will get us goals.still have tall pall and sicknote Stewart.
6.) 29 Aug 2024 22:01:19
Sorry, Corinthians!
7.) 30 Aug 2024 08:10:46
Mac Cornet will join today. There is no doubt. JWP won’t.
8.) 30 Aug 2024 08:59:30
Not sure. Parish getting stuck in for Palace as they want him too
9.) 30 Aug 2024 11:06:26
JWP looks like he's going Nottingham First so unlikely now to grab him as west ham rather would gain money over a loan
10.) 30 Aug 2024 11:39:03
Looks like we have beaten Palace. Cornet en route to us?
11.) 30 Aug 2024 12:26:38
Forest are paying a huge loan fee and all wages for JWP, even more than Ramsdale wages! It’s all last minute and a rush, can’t understand the logic. Get your squad sorted before first game of season! Anyway, looks like a few are leaving and 2/3 coming in.
12.) 30 Aug 2024 13:35:28
You think Yuri Alberto is likely to happen? Saw a few articles saying its unlikely now
13.) 30 Aug 2024 13:42:32
Report says JWP rejected us. His choice. Hope he doesn’t live to regret it. No worries we will be fine without him.
14.) 31 Aug 2024 03:28:15
Suggested team post 30/8/24 (prior to availability of Cornet, Fraser and Stewart ) . Ramsdale. Yukon TBH ABK/ ( (Taylor) KWP Fernandez DOWNES LES. LALLANA//Sam Amo) ARCHER BEN DIAZ Subs. Macca Taylor AArmstrong Bednarek Dibling Smallbone Aribo Sam Amo//Lallana
22 Aug 2024 09:33:07
I have been told that Saints are looking long and hard at Sverre Nypan of Rosenberg. The Norwegians want 14 million euros for him. He scored a hatrick last night and is very highly rated.
1.) 23 Aug 2024 09:09:07
Thanks for the intel @2408.
Do we still have money to spend?
Saints were saying they needed to sell before they bought. I think you said we probably had 12m to spend.
Since then we have 10m in for Mara, have spent 30m on Archer and Fernandes, potentially 10m lined up on Bijlow and now maybe more.
Sounds like we are very confident on 20m in from ABK and Onuachu to balance the books, KWP or Alcaraz may be off (hope not) or there was more money available than thought.
2.) 23 Aug 2024 16:08:13
Alcaraz and ABK will cover what’s been spent. Alcaraz is a free spirit not suited to arms regimented system.
3.) 23 Aug 2024 18:37:32
Thanks @2408.
Alcaraz is currently the 2nd highest PL goal scorer per game in the squad, so it seems a big risk to sell him but point taken on the system adherence.
Appreciate the update
14 Aug 2024 16:33:25
Please don't shoot the messenger but I've been told talks have started about a KWP JWP swap deal. It is from a reliable source so who knows?
1.) 14 Aug 2024 17:08:44
Hope so 2408. He will get us a few more goals.
2.) 14 Aug 2024 17:29:00
2408 - I find your posts on the money but this time I hope you are completely wrong. Not only would it be a massive set back losing KWP (try replacing him for under £30M) having JWP would be the finish of us. Free kicks are different class but his contribution overall is bang average
3.) 15 Aug 2024 10:48:08
Like I said, please don’t shoot the messenger. Ipswich are about to sign Phillips and Cajuste which are excellent loan deals. I’m very surprised we didn’t go for Phillips. MaCatee deal is now dead so let’s hope for 2 quality loan deals coming in or we will be cannon fodder for most premier league teams.
11 Aug 2024 13:32:59
I've been told Broja is not keen on signing for the Saints. Still working on McAtee deal. Contact has been made with several premier league clubs for keeper on loan. Appears to be very quiet with a week to go until start of season.

Just seen the lineup, AA really! No Sugawara, Dibling or Onaucha? Stephens and Manning! Everton 2-1 or 2-0, McNeil will have a field day. ?
1.) 02 Nov 2024 16:16:37
Awful slow build up play! Please please attack with pace and vigour!
2.) 02 Nov 2024 17:34:32
We won just about still no credit to Martin imo
3.) 02 Nov 2024 19:33:13
We were good but I still believe we can be way better than this but hopefully this is a beginning of a new chapter and we can be singing Martin's name when we survive relegation.
4.) 02 Nov 2024 21:15:43
It’s a really big win but it will only count for something if we push on and get something at Wolves next week. It’s a start but no more than that.
We got lucky today but to be fair, we deserve something to go our way.
Rambo was outstanding and had it not been for him we certainly wouldn’t have ended up with 3 points.
Stephens and Manning weaken our team.
And at the risk of upsetting Emperor Leslee, I haven’t changed my views on Martin. Not one bit - all he did today was buy himself another week.
5.) 03 Nov 2024 10:03:59
The gods shined on Saints yesterday, the teams performance for 80 minutes was inept and but for Ramsdale we would have been 2-0 down. AA Stephens Manning were awful, Lallana was asked to cover the centre midfield area which was ridiculous to expect a 36 year old to do, he looked knackered after 35 minutes. Downes played wide right of the midfield was strange, he was much more influential second half when he returned to the centre.
RM got away with some very poor tactical decisions. Let’s hope the board don’t see this result as proof he’s the man for the job.
6.) 03 Nov 2024 10:23:59
Stephens and Manning weren’t great in the Championship, let alone the EPL. I saw nothing that changed my mind about RM. slow and very predictable build up play. actually build up play suggests we are building up to something ie an attack
Our build up play is to play it back to where it started.
The number of shots Everton had was way too much in way less possession.
His pre match statement read.
the challenge for us is to play how WE want to play, but they definitely don’t make that easy .
Replace WE with I! Everything is how the clown wants to play.
Possession anywhere over the pitch that doesn’t matter.
Oh well his end has been delayed and Saints have +3 points .
anyone notice the unmarked 2 players on the edge of our box towards the end . Deja vue
Asking for a friend : can you get a Pro Coaching badge in keepball . mmm
7.) 03 Nov 2024 12:37:39
Glad I’m not the only one that saw it that way!
26 Oct 2024 16:48:05
Bringing on 2 strikers and taking off your best striker with 5 minutes to go, RM is a genius!
1.) 26 Oct 2024 17:11:20
And before anyone starts - there is nothing credible about a 1 -0 defeat even if it is against City. Yes, many people expected the floodgates to open and through awful finishing and some stout defending we kept it to just the one goal.
But do not mistake that for progress.
2.) 26 Oct 2024 18:50:14
I completely disagree Miller.
We won a corner and had 2 shots on target, how can that not be progress?
Jokes aside, I am very surprised it stayed at 1-0, the hitmen from Manchester forgot to put their contact lenses in this afternoon by the looks of it ?.
Well that puts us rock bottom of the league and I think it’s time to put our comfy shoes on.
Even though a loss today was expected, the performance today was completely uninspiring and that’s what concerns me. It really wasn’t about the result today, a loss was inevitable, I was however hoping to see more of a spark. Sometimes it’s not about losing it’s about how you lose, if the players are willing to die for the shirt on the pitch and walk off as warriors then I will applaud that loss with a standing ovation. It was a nothing to lose kind of game today and I would have loved to of seen the players give it a good go rather than put 10 men behind the ball to hold on to dear life to a 1-0 loss.
On a brighter note, I’m really looking forward to Tuesday night. Survival is now out of the equation in my opinion so a lengthy cup run is the only thing that excites me now, let’s hope we don’t fu*k that up too.
26 Oct 2024 16:21:21
Don't care what the final score is. RM has to be sacked. This was a chance to try a more attacking formation with 2 up front and try to take the game to City. No one expected us to get anything from the game so why not try something different? Oh no!
10 players behind the ball, like for like substitutions creating a dull and uninspiring game. You're losing 1-0 so let's keep it at that shall we! ?
21 Oct 2024 18:23:54
Deja vu? Yet again tactical errors and the wrong substitutions have resulted in a loss. I wasn't sure about playing Manning at left wing but it worked! It worked for 30 minutes until Cooper moved Ndidi right to support Justin. Once that was done the effect was finished and it was then or at least half time the shape and tactic should have changed.
You're 2-0 up, at home, stretch the game out! Encourage the opponent to press further up the pitch, bring on a target man to hold and sometimes flick the ball on. This would have given Dibling and Fernandez more room to play in and very probably resulted in another Saints goal.
This tactical change is so basic and really worrying that RM didn't see it . Instead he brings Onaucha on BUT takes Archer off! Was Onaucha supposed to chase down his own flick ons? How many crosses into the box did we produce after bringing Onaucha on?
I'm not a professional coach and do not profess to be one. Lastly, everyone back for opponents set plays, not one player on the halfway line AND every player in the six yard box for every set play minute 80 onwards! Brilliant and revolutionary tactics! Just a shame our opponents have found a way to predict and win. ??
1.) 22 Oct 2024 07:25:48
I read that Blackburn’s Head Coach John Eustace name has surfaced again along with WBA’s Carlos Corbera’n with respect to our prospective vacancy. They both have very similar profiles and admired playing styles.Should they be in the final mix I guess it would be down to the one our Players respond to most and the their coaching methods (including Academy progress) .To be honest either would do for me! I realise would wish for a more high profile Coach- but are we currently in a position to warrant that? After this spell maybe the Board will completely go left field! Whichever immediate action is required as RM continues to demonstrate he is out of his depth! Keep On Marching!
2.) 22 Oct 2024 09:34:28
2408 : the tactic of everyone back is something we all learnt in Junior School football. I’m not even sure if RM played that tactic, he would position the players in correct positions. He has clearly blagged his way through job after job, sticking 100% to his unwavering possession obsession.
He seems completely devoid of the basic footballing tactics, and I mean basic tactics. Even playing Saturday and Sunday league, you knew your roles, they were drummed into you by a vociferous coach.
The Fraser substitution : we seem to have had a series of coaches who play players out of position.
This was clearly the wrong substitution, compounded by having that position sat on the bench.
It’s something he’s done many times. Where does this nonsense come from?
RM started using Fraser in this way last season, primarily to allow Stephens the freedom to roam up the pitch. I watched in disbelief as stephens spent the whole game in their half with Fraser defending.
Fraser is not a defender, I do actually think he’s a great attacker, wing man, finisher.
but a defender he is not.
We all often throw around the term ‘I could do better’ but with RM, I actually think it’s true.
His ego is bigger than the club and he shows it. His way is all that matters. This will be his last game, or he will be dismissed before it .
3.) 23 Oct 2024 00:55:53
Great Shame! It appears a spineless and Feeble Board are opting to throw Our Football Club into Jeopardy after many Thousands of Fans have given Decades of Support both Financially and Patriotically when possible swift.Action could have improved any Chance of Survival for any potential incoming talented Head Coach. Keep On Marching!
4.) 23 Oct 2024 07:54:03
Maybe I’ve stirred up a few of late so it’s time to grab a few beers and a bottle of red and relax in the sun on the swinging hammock.I will rejoin soon when anything significant happens -like Russell Martin leaving to manage Eastleigh! Keep On Marching,
5.) 23 Oct 2024 11:24:41
St John
I hope we don't pull Nathan Jones though. I still have 0 clue in why we signed him
04 Oct 2024 00:00:19
In hindsight I should have started with a striker. RM latest words! I'm speechless ?
1.) 04 Oct 2024 05:15:32
Unfortunately my recent post has ended up in rumours! ,
2.) 04 Oct 2024 12:15:10
Perhaps he will start against Arsenal without a goalkeeper or try to put Jack Stephens in goal!
3.) 04 Oct 2024 18:35:14
Please no if Stephens is in goal we might as well forfeit the game or we won't be losing 9-0!
4.) 05 Oct 2024 06:27:56
I don’t believe even Buddha will save Martin from Arsenal big guns! Keep On Marching!
30 Aug 2024 12:26:38

29 Aug 2024 22:01:19
Sorry, Corinthians!
26 Aug 2024 21:04:52
Charly is a very talented player but he does lack possession discipline in key areas on the pitch. He will excel at slightly lower standard leagues and in time may well adjust his cavalier style and become an established international and maybe a regular fixture in a top premier league club. Saints don’t have the luxury of giving him time, when playing RMs system he gets caught on the ball too many times which will be punished at the highest level. It is a great shame that, for Charly, RM is manager. If Ralph, Koeman and even Jones were manager he would be playing in a different more explosive style of play which would more suit him.
23 Aug 2024 16:08:13
Alcaraz and ABK will cover what’s been spent. Alcaraz is a free spirit not suited to arms regimented system.
21 Aug 2024 19:10:31
There is no intel re signing another striker. I think a lot will depend on whether Onaucha stays and Stewart is genuinely close to full fitness. Keeper appears to be main focal point atm.
28 Nov 2024 11:41:48
Unfortunately we play brilliant coaching manual football and that’s why coaches and ex players warm to our style. Some are brave enough to question the sanity of our chosen style some rub their hands with glee, most just take the 3 points.
It does appear that the club is to be run as a farm to produce talent and then sell. At the end of the season Ramsdale Sugawara THB Fernandes Dibling Downes Archer Will fetch £160 million plus add one for THB Fernandes and Dibling, I expect Kwp to leave in January for 3-5 million. I also expect Onaucha Sulemana Bednarek Aribo to leave for a combined £28 million.
We get to keep AA ?
21 Nov 2024 17:47:37
Unfortunately guys they won’t get rid of Martin until the club is relegated. I calculate £180 million in player sales and then a new manager for the 25/26 championship season. They’ll keep Bazuna McCarthy Bednarek Stephens Bree Taylor Manning Smallbone Charles Amo Aa Archer Brereton Fraser Stewart Lawrence Wood Edwards then possibly Larios if he gets fit and stays fit, Juan, Japanese lad on loan at Goztepe and buy a 2 new midfield players.
That squad should be good enough for promotion to PL, then all the fun will start again.
16 Nov 2024 20:19:52
My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Ed2.
13 Nov 2024 13:38:39
Spot on Millertime, all the young players will be suffering with confidence loss the longer this charade of purists football continues. Give Archer 10 games with a target man alongside him and he will score goals. If we aren’t going to play Onaucha then maybe Bamford on loan or a fit Stewart.
13 Nov 2024 10:32:35
Archer is a top player guys, he’s not a centre forward battering ram and he’s not a last line defender! He’s a pure out and out striker who will score lots of goals in his career if deployed in the correct manner.
