Get it in the box quickly
Get players in the box .
After that teams will definitely be more nervous, teams won't be so keen on being exposed at the back .

We've all been crying out, no screaming out!
To get the ball in the box quicker, and not only are we getting the ball in the box quick quicker. there are players on the edge of the box and in the box making themselves available. at least four in the box! with others waiting strategically on or around the box.
I don't care whether this guy is from the moon.
He knows how to win a football game!
He knows what he needs to win a football game!
And while many of criticised his substitution yesterday, the player he brought on he knew very well and he knew his abilities.,
No pussyfooting around.
He did exactly what he felt was needed.
Changed things.

Still did not have a clue… he was simply the wrong man for the job.
His team selection, formation, tactics, substitutions. we’re not good enough.
And he wasn’t improving

The reason Still won’t turn it round is that he does not have the experience or tactical awareness.
To be a god manager you need to setup your team to play against the opponent. Each opponent is different, very different. It might be subtle differences like 5/4 at the back etc or less subtle ones like a fast midfield, fast wingers, tall CBs.
you have to setup your team up to beat the opponent.
But more importantly you have to be able to react and change tactics, players and formation at an instant.
Opposing managers seem way too clever for our succession of managers. A change in wing positions, to pushing the midfield up, spreading the front line. they all need immediate changes.
Still does not have a clue, he simply isn’t experienced enough. He tweeks, he makes substitutions, but they seem random hopeful changes.
Football is now full of elite athletes, defenders are skilful, clever, agile.
This is no time to learn your trade . he needed to know it already.
We have simply gone for the wrong manager.
We play occasionally clever football but mostly predictable . and that makes us easy to play against and beat

Ah thanks 2408 . I was trying to work out who saints reminded me of! Wimbledon indeed . or even further back in my distant memory, what we were told to do at 6 by our football coach . hoof it every time the ball is in your area.
Now I know the Unsaviour of Rangers, Russel Martin, liked us to play around with it at the back, but this is now taking the pi**. we are literally hoofing the ball out from the back, to anywhere and everywhere.
Even high balls to the wee man!
I enjoy watching good football, this is not good football we are playing under Still…
We are also very slow with many static players.
Our attacks are simply not that, if the ball does manage to get into the opponents box is more luck than game plan. I see AA is still shooting on site. hasn’t he ever adjusted his style!

In the first half, only one team with flair, tactics, desire to win, attack and move the ball around . Pompey!
Not sure what our managers game plan is . if any.
We were totally disjointed
