Any updates on svanberg it looked like it was only a matter of time before we got him but it seems to have gone very quiet

We've agreed terms with the plate apparently. Just a case of sorting out his price with his club. It's gone quiet but I hope we can get him as he looks very useful.

Does anyone seriously think we'll come straight back up next season we have to assemble almost a new starting 11 whilst getting rid all the dead wood hopefully hitting the ground running in August.I just can't see it

I think there is a large gap in quality between premier league and championship teams and players. There is obviously going to be a lot of players leaving, I calculate a 30 / 35 million reduction in the wage bill plus any relegation clauses that may exist and probably 120 million in player sales/ loans. The problem is going to be recruiting the right sort of player to get us promoted, war horses/ experienced battlers to be mixed in with some young talent. Livramento Smallbone Edozie Mara Larios Sulemana ( if he stays) Tella ( if he stays) . I would make Bednarek captain and Lyanco his understudy. Then secure Out of contract players like Ryan Manning Jake Cooper who are leaders on the pitch. Remember what Fonte and Hammond did for the team, we need that mentality again, then we might have a chance

Alcarez is struggling with English language so I expect him to push for a move to Spain. The Echo are reporting a 40% reduction in wages due to relegation clause so we can expect a lot of players to want to leave, some dillusional some realistic

Let's hope the board are on the phone to Graham Potter,let him lick his wounds and have a couple of weeks off then start the enevitable championship pre season with a clean slate, come on SR do the right thing and you will have the support of the fans.get it wrong and the stadium will be half empty by Xmas.

West ham were there for the taking it was like watching us at home if we'd had any attacking quality or intent we would have won the game,you put a 6ft 7 striker on and are playing out from the back with minutes to go it defies belief.

It was the same in a previous game, 1-0 down with three minutes to go and JWP is playing keep ball with out CBs! People have ranted at me on other forums for criticising him. quoting his stats as the player that covers the most distance! Well one look at his heat map and it shows that a huge part of his heat map is between the box and halfway line . our box!
Our play is predictable and slow, even an average team like whu had nothing to fear! And that gives the opponent the psychological advantage . they are not scared of us because they know we can’t score. Watching motd and the analysis of our lack of goals . was embarrassing.

Thanks for your information as I was completely unaware that Frank Lampard,Steven Gerrard and Wayne Rooney had all achieved a PHD (Doctorate)in their chosen profession and could be referred to as”Dr.in the future should they so wish.A massive upgrade in education for pro footballers and managers compared to my playing days when a well known fact that the majority of pro footballers and managers from memory left School barely achieving their ‘School Cert’

I wasn’t going to post my post match thoughts because I didn’t feel I had anything positive to say - apart from the 3 points obviously.
The performance was dire - we were very lucky to win and it was down to their poor finishing.
Bazuna tries very hard to snatch a draw out of the jaws of victory on at least 2 occasions. He hasn’t progressed as I hoped he would. Maybe next season eh?
But as others have said, our ability in the last third is rubbish.
Walcott starting - come on, how is that possible. And what about our record signing centre forward not getting a look in - I can’t even remember his name, Paul someone.
Adam Armstrong playing two leagues above his level.
Mara needs to toughen up - a proper lightweight who is all style and no substance.
Still no clue what the best eleven is - but looking forward to Tino returning.
Old Trafford beckons - I wonder how close to Liverpool we will get in goals scored against them?

The players have accepted their fate and playing like they don't want to get injured and put any potential move in jeopardy, get Adams on and go a bit more direct these conditions don't help playing out from the back ?

Tella should only be sold for 20mil+, will smallbone doing well on loan we already have championship level strikers, take the money for jwp etc and build from there with these players we should be able to score our way out of the division

Would have ripped your arm off for a draw before the game but we looked happy with a draw with half an hour to go,walcott clean through and has to shoot as no support when untd attacked they had 4 or 5 so a little deflated but if we beat brentford we're in with a shout and I would never had said that a month ago
