Thoughts on the ban?
I would say a 40k fine, 6-10 game touchline ban and 6 month suspended sentence is fair.
He is early in his career, so you cannot give a Bielsa fine, the extra gravity of the playoff spying has been addressed by the EFL, 6 month suspended is deterrence to others.
Probably 5 game ban per spying incident is fair but leniency for his apology, stress he has been under and naivety for young manager from foreign league.

Sadly I think that is optimistic. I think the FA will clobber Tonda with a 6 month outright ban. Hope I'm wrong.

Given the recent preparing the ground statements I think you are right sadly.
If they were to say 10 game ban for each incident but 5 due to double jeopardy and leniency as young foreign manager in football league then 15 game touchline could stomach
If they suepend him for 6 months and then give City a 10 point fine it is ridiculous.

All Inwould say SaintThat is the shoreline flattered us a bit yesterday. We managed to hang on for the first 30mins then we found our stride - but we could have been trailing through costly defensive blunders.
Then it was a case of Larin to the rescue !!
So I hope your predicted climb up the table happens but IMO we need to perform over 90
Minutes rather than sparkle in patches.

Oh Millertime I hope Lesleee has not converted you into a glass half full poster. We won and scored 4. Seldom do teams control a game for 90 mins mostly you have to ride your luck for periods and use it when it's on your side.

I was excited by the result but like many Saints fans I do feel we rode our luck (which is fine) and have to be grateful that Ballard left his shooting boots at home.
More worrying for me, is the obsession of inviting the high press. It's ok if you're good at it, but simply put, we're not. We constantly lose possession in our own half through a misplaced pass, a hospital ball or poor control.
Yes, mix the play up, but unfortunately the opposition know what we are going to do and we gift them chances.
Next Saturday I'm predicting a real scrap and hopefully 3 more points.

Difficult to say until we know the final squad. I think what happens with the manager will have a major effect. I am not confident of a top 4 finish, at least we have top 8 for this season.

I think the 3 relegated teams, us Boro, Millwall and Norwich will be the leading pack so 4th seems a reasonable middle ground, given the -4 and managerial and squad uncertainty.
Depends if we can shift surplus players, keep stars and bring in 1 or 2 more. I like Downes spirit to go out and win it. We were top on form since Tonda, so let's aim high!

I can't help think the cat is out the bag with Tonda.
Even if he is/turns out to be a great manager he's not there yet and I think any club would be run badly if they didn't take note to the success we had last season. Wether it was spying on not.
My point being Tonda seems to analyze everything. Great, but surely the counter to that is to make sure you/the opposing team have done so to and left nothing to chance when facing us.
I've mentioned before about variables. Already a slightly different team (hopefully Scienza stays)
But for me, realistically, were pushing for promotion again. If Tonda is the main everyone thinks he is, then it's automatic promotion, no brainer after what we saw last season, but he has to replicate it first.
Here's hoping he does ?

PPG is 15% lower before and after spygate but we are also missing Jander, a prolific second striker and the spygate pressure has also had a negative impact. So all things considered a modest change.
If Tonda touchline ban is 6 or less then I reckon we will end up 4th. Our signature championship finish.
