We are 3 nil down approaching half time. I hope we lose 10 nil. And I hope we lose our next match 10 nil.If that's the price we have to pay to get rid of the most incompetent arrogant manager we have ever had the misfortune to endure. We have a squad that is good enough to stay up, just a coach who is so utterly out of his depth but hasn't the intelligence or humility to realise it.

Pretty much agree with the consensus that Russell Martin is going to fail. Very much in the mould of RH in terms of inflexibility, and already coming out with worrying soundbites.slating the team so early in the season is worrying. We will get a mid table finish this year and no better. Would be understanding of the current situation re transfers if Martin was showing leadership, but he is already playing the victim . Norwich will win by 3 this weekend

I think at this stage we should forget about playoffs and focus on the relegation threat.a proven manager specifically in the championship is necessary. Accordingly, Mowbray wasnt such a daft idea, even if a tad uninspiring. And Farke would be a good option when Leeds can him. Priority is to get to January in better shape than now, then exit all the sabateurs who made Stills job even harder than he made it

I agree with the posts above, and there will be concerns about certain positions and players, but overall, I'm thinking, what a positive window. Good money in for players that have hardly proved themselves and don't want to be here, clear indications that Spors and the rest of the board are 100% behind Will, and a real sense of purpose about recruitment. I have belief!

Let's remove the subjectivity. Nearly a quarter of the way through the season, 1 point from a possible 24, practically every qualified observer saying RMs approach is naive and doomed to failure. RM refusing to acknowledge that just maybe he needs to revise his approach. At this stage saying we were robbed and fans leaving early is even partially to blame is really for the birds. If we are happy with a noble relegation with RM sticking steadfastly to his principles then fine, crack on. But let's not get to the end of the season and say that if RM had more support from the fans, and that decisions had gone more our way it would have been different . That's delusional.

Inevitable outcome given last 12 months. Lots of questions online about whether sacking RM will save Southampton .wrong question. The question is.do you believe RM can secure saints future in prem. To me, clearly no. So changing coach doesn't fix problem, just moves dial on survival from "utterly no chance" to "well maybe". I'll take that
