We are 3 nil down approaching half time. I hope we lose 10 nil. And I hope we lose our next match 10 nil.If that's the price we have to pay to get rid of the most incompetent arrogant manager we have ever had the misfortune to endure. We have a squad that is good enough to stay up, just a coach who is so utterly out of his depth but hasn't the intelligence or humility to realise it.

we seem to be inexorably heading for the playoffs.

And furthermore, if Saints really wanted to be unique, and after RM has been seen to fail, then appoint Sarina Wiegman to the post and see a real football brain at work for the first time in a while. Bonkers? yep.but not really

Pretty much agree with the consensus that Russell Martin is going to fail. Very much in the mould of RH in terms of inflexibility, and already coming out with worrying soundbites.slating the team so early in the season is worrying. We will get a mid table finish this year and no better. Would be understanding of the current situation re transfers if Martin was showing leadership, but he is already playing the victim . Norwich will win by 3 this weekend

I agree saints are up against it tonight.I think if Tonda will never have a more important occasion to get both selection and strategy right. And difficult to manage the team who know that even if they win they might be ejected. On reflection of my earlier post, the only mitigating factor against being ejected from the playoffs is that Wrexham would then have a really good shout that they have been denied a playoff berth due to cheating and then EFL get into a whole world of pain legally.
EFL would love Boro to win tonight, saves them a load of pain, the football community are on Boros side as no-one likes cheats to prosper. Saints aren't just playing Boro tonight, they are up against everyone. Tough ask

Really got a bad feeling here. It seems highly unlikely that the Boro spying was a one off, and scrutinising whatsapp, text and emails will establish whether this has been going on all season. If so, I think Saints will be expelled from the playoffs rather than fined. If the intern in question shows up on any other clubs training ground camera footage the game is up, and Tonda will go.
And to complete the gloom, I think Boro are so fired up, and Saints distracted, that we will lose tonight. Sorry for the gloom, hope i'm wrong and consigned to the clowns corner!

Just how bad does young Still look now? When Tonda first took control, and won a couple before the international break, the wise council was still, rightly, let's not rush this. Then Charlton, then tonight. Now the emphasis MUST be "do not lose this guy" He won't need to work for a luke warm "experienced" manager like ONeil or the divisive Rogers, so just please give him the job tonight

I know there is febrile speculation regarding the head coach role, but if we get a positive result against Leicester next week its difficult to see how SR can ignore Tonda. (they have obviously been dragging their feet on an appointment to see how he does) It was clear that Still never earned the respect of the players, whereas Tonda has clearly got the same players to perform at a much higher level overnight. That first half was some of the best technical football I've seen from saints in a long time. A win against an improving Leicester side.give him the job.

Good summary.with a few to add.
Potential: Lalana
soon to be available: Farke
Pipe dream: Gerrard
I think at this stage we should forget about playoffs and focus on the relegation threat.a proven manager specifically in the championship is necessary. Accordingly, Mowbray wasnt such a daft idea, even if a tad uninspiring. And Farke would be a good option when Leeds can him. Priority is to get to January in better shape than now, then exit all the sabateurs who made Stills job even harder than he made it
