Can any one shed some light on the situation with what's going to happen with the transfers of Gaston and osvaldo. Seems we are going to loose a lot of money on both. What a waste

I heard those two are £140k wages per week and Koeman wants them off the wage bill. I also read that Osvaldo had been disciplined by Boca for something. Gaston is injured but I reckon we have more chance of selling him this summer than we do Osvaldo. Probably best we can hope for is another loan with him.

I really really hope we can keep hold of Toby ald also sign van dijk Austin and clasie bring some players up from the under 21s and we will be looking good. Ed is there any truth on this shawcross rumour do you know?

2.) I agree with these 3 and Lukaku, but I'm not a fan of Hernandez personally, anyway I still think Shaw will stay
3.) In my opinion, out of all these strikers, I would be most happy with Ings or lukaku. As great as this would be, I believe that a new keeper is more important as gazzaniga is. Well. Gazzaniga!
4.) I agree a GK has to be the top priority, followed by a CB and a striker, they are the key positions to fill and hopefully Mayuka can come back and provide back up to Jay and Lallana on the flanks and maybe a youth academy player with pace will come through on the wings too
5.) I just want poch signed up! He's the most important one, if he stays I think everyone stays. If he goes then there will be an exodus of our young stars. I can't help but feel uninspired by kreugers comments regarding player sales. He just seems to bat round the subject as much as possible. He doesn't fill me with confidence.
6.) His contract runs out next year, but he has said that he won't discuss a new contract until the summer, I think this is because with Cortese he new he had an ambitious chairman that will drive the club forward, maybe he's working out if Krueger will do the same. I think from what Krueger has said to the press that he will, I especially think that saying we won't sell our stars will help and if he is given the funds to further improve the squad, to keep our project going then he will stay. Which I think Krueger and Katahirina will do, as they keep speaking about the project and the southampton way, which is signing 2-3 quality players each year and bringing through young youth players into the team. So I think he'll stay as long as he can see that the club will continue improving.
7.) Our top priority has to be a 20+ per season striker. We create so many chances with this team but have a terrible conversion rate.
Give Gazza a chance though, he is our third choice. Boruc is easily a good enough first choice and Kelvin is decent back up with Gazzaniga as a decent third option.
8.) Hernandez Ings or Bony 20 goal a season men or at least 15

Keep hearing we will get rather lukaku and some money for shaw or henandez and money for shaw both good deals I think. would love henandez he's only on 60 g a week at united and we would play him most games!

1.) Isn't 60,000 a week very high by Saints' current standards? Not sure we'd want to break the salary structure for Hernandez--he's good, but not that good.
2.) Selling Shaw would be a huge mistake. He is settled here and is far more likely to stay in the long run than anyone we bring in from another club.

Ive been hearing lukaku or hernandez from united both would be amazing for soton I think. Hernendez hardly gets played when we would offer him most games plus he's only on 60 grand wges. Please someone tell me this is true!
1.) Would be great to get eithier but depending on wht shaw wants to do to get one of these two we may have to consider a swap deal plus cash for either Lukaku is the better option

I would love redmond to join but I'm afraid we're well stocked in that department. People should remember aside from pelle and his like-for-like replacement Gallagher, we have a very versatile group of attacking players plus youth like Seager, McQueen, and Hesketh coming through, plus possibility of Gaston staying then the attacking department is pretty much done and dusted for the season.

Caulker is a brilliant Singing . I can see Bertrand,caulker,fonte and cedric working well as a team and trust in koeman to get Faulkner back in the england squad. And let's not forget that gardos isn't dead he's just got a long injury and we got yoshi!!. Hopefully we get Vvd and I would call that a bloody brilliant defence.maybe we might see a couple more loans befor the window shuts . maybe a cheeky Austin signing lol (I wish).Heads up southampton fans we are looking good it's not all doom and gloom :).

Loving your enthusiasm! I agree, Caulker will likely improve a lot under Koeman, the same with van Dijk if he signs. Player improvement in the defensive positions was phenomenal last season.
My ideal signings would be:
Kamil Glik, 27, Centre back, available for around £12M upwards. (Torino)
Lorenzo Insigne, 24, Attacking midfield/wing, available for around £15M upwards. (Napoli)
Renato Tapia, 20, Def Mid/Centre Def, available for around £3M upwards.
Glik is a very competent defender and current captain of his team, Insigne is a very quick, stylish player who knows Pellè from the Italian national team and Tapia is a talented, up and coming Peruvian playing for FC Twente so knows Tadic`^ and will have heard of Koeman. Thoughts?

@esso14 + @MUZZ_TING, these transfers make sense so have nothing to do with FIFA games. Insigne is a high earner at Napoli and would be an expensive transfer for our club, however he is hugely talented and has improved a great deal since Benitez took over as coachcoach; now that he is gone Insigne is slightly unsettled and has previously mentioned his attraction to a bigger league.
Lastly him knowing Pelle could have an impact. Glik is perhaps the least likely transfer I mentioned since he has no links with anyone associated with Southampton but he has often been scouted by Premier League clubs and the Torino president has said that he'll listen to offers for him.
Tapia is highly rated and may develop better at a club which can offer him more than what FC Twente can, he has some connection with Tadic and the Koeman brothers so the club are definitely aware of his talents.
Also, Gradel looks to be joining Bournemouth soon. Kongolo is very good too, however he does need more experience to dominate his position, even in the friendly against Southampton he was a little hesitant and couldn't keep Pelle under control. I expect that if the club sign a new First XI defender then they'll be over the age of 23.

Yes, all said I would still be very happy with van Dijk! This transfer window has looked very successful so far. A winger is not required but if the team were playing a 4-2-3-1 formation then a proper RM would be useful. Since Tadic, Mané, Juanmi and Ward-Prowse all play better centrally and McQueen/Isgrove are just not ready.
