I've heard from inside the club that Delap deal is progressing and should be concluded within a week - fee will be around £24M and Citeh insisting on a buy back clause.m

We don’t need a prolific striker, Armstrong, Redmond and Ings have enough goals and creativity in them. What we need is a striker who can play well when Ings is injured as Austin and Long are not up to it this season and Obafemi has been injured twice.

Goals would still be nice from Ings' replacement though. otherwise we may as well stick with Long.

May as well have stuck with Gabbiadini if we want a striker who’s not prolific or better yet give the place to Obafemi/ Barnes/ Gallagher/ Seager and give them a chance to impress.
