Why when we sing, Oh when the saints go marching in . do we only sing the slow version. We used sing the first verse and then speed up and shout louder/more aggressively the second verse that really sounded awesome. Why don't the fans sing it that way anymore? I personally think we should go back to the old way. Thoughts everyone please

I think the slow and laboured version reflects the tempo of Martin’s preferred style of play!

Good one!
Perhaps we should repeat the same line over and over again and go back a few verses too for full effect!
Agree with the suggestion saint_ben. We need to create an atmosphere or fortress at home.
That or sing a lullaby and hope the other team falls asleep, after being hypnotised with our slow passing!

@SaintThatAKickInTheHead! Yes, we definitely need to get behind the team and I think with our record Season ticket number sales it shows a willingness to do so. I personally think our style of play is better suited to the Prem over the championship. But we do need to add more quality, for sure. For me O'Riley would be a great addition, Ramsdale would be absolutely amazing and then most importantly we need a couple of strikers. But I really want to hear the fans sing the older version of the song, the faster part really gets the blood pumping!

It is great to hear the positivity back and everyone behind the team.
Ramsdale, O'Riley and a top striker would give us a real chance for survival, I agree.
Good to hear you think our style could be more suited to the prem. Have even been mulling over a 3 4 3 to keep that consistency with the forward three year on year.
Hopefully Lallana can develop Alcaraz and Dibling. Taylor mentors Larios and if the Ox comes back, he can get Sulemana to his potential
COYR!

Agree with all that you have said, although I don't see a future for Sulemana with us, I fear that the manager has tried to develop him and gave him opportunities to perform in the championship but he simply did not take them. I don't think he is good enough, simple as that. Very fast player but nothing more. I would get rid and invest the money into Jack Clark

That's interesting. I have always had a soft spot for Sulemana. His pace and trickery can get you up on the edge of your seat. But he did not step up last season and stake his claim as hoped. Useful on the break but probably not suited to possession football.
A front 3 of Clarke, Brereton Diaz and Armstrong on the cards? With O'Riley, Lallana, Alcaraz or Dibling as CAM? Depends if go 3 5 2 or 3 4 3

I think I am the only one who rates Sulemana - not so much for what he has done but for the potential he has - blistering speed and some trickery.
I hear you say no end product but I don’t think he’s been given a fair chance - a run of games. He’s had minutes here and there.
I think he will achieve more than Edozie (who I also like) but time will tell.
Jack Clarke though would be a big addition to the squad.

Jack Clarke seems to be priced out if you believe what they are saying. Our interest in the Crystal Palace kid will probably be instead of jack Clarke, at a guess.

I like Sulemana, millertime. I think he is much more effective when playing a central role, he’s wasted as a winger because his crossing in woeful. We need a target man, Broja, Weghorst, Antonia etc, we must hold the ball up better if we are going to have a chance of survival this season

I agree … Sulemana has great skill, great control and speed . wasted on the wing. and back to my love of Fraser . fantastic natural finisher, great reader of the game. wasted at wing back, I’d love to see him
Play in front of a wing back! Makes space and great runs into the box .
