As a blue myself, I think this talk of history is a little bit silly. It is the same thing that some of us have a go at Liverpool fans for so it's embarrassing to use it against other teams. If any of you believe that RK will be coming (not a done deal yet) for the things we have won in the past then you are sadly mistaken. He didn't want to talk the first week, he was happy to see out his contract with the saints. His head has been turned by money, nothing more and nothing less. I had a little convo with Vick here the other day saying much the same. I said I hope us blues can be a bit more humble than others, say city fans for example, now that we have a bit of cash. It has happened to us with players over the last few decades and it leaves a nasty taste, most of us blues can relate. Yet some are on here goading other fans, get a grip boys.
I don't really think it matters how 'big' a club is as long as it is feeding from the premier league on a continued basis then who really cares? Playing in the top flight is the thing that matters, not how many seats a stadium may or may not have. It may be banter but it is a bit lame imo.

Can't really argue with you Vick. As a blue, I can't say he is mulling over a move because of the stature of our club. Money talks I suppose. We have a section of fans that believe the lure of the EFC name should be enough to bring in big names but I would be lying to you if I agreed with that. Money runs the modern game and there is little room, unfortunately, for sentiment.
Ignore our last two league finishes as I believe our previous manager was holding the team back. We have a talented squad and some very good promising kids to come through as well as a bit of cash to spend, for a change. Whoever takes the job has good foundations to build on. I believe Martinez is in the frame to manage your team, I hope your board don't appoint him. He's had one good season out of five and isn't good enough at premier level. You deserve better than that if RK does leave.
I think us Evertonians should be a bit more humble in situations such as this. We have been on the receiving end in the last two decades when bigger clubs have been circling our players. We didn't like it much either so I hope, now that we have secured a billionaire investor, that we will keep our feet on the ground. Good luck next season boys and girls, regardless of whoever is in charge you have, from the outside looking in, a well run family club and they are the type we want to see in our top league.
