What happened to our interest in samuel bastien? Last reported we had opened talks, but nothing since. Has that gone cold or were we ever even interested? ED?
{Ed002's Note - Anderlecht are keen to hold on to Samuel Bastien who has been on loan to Avellino but are aware of interest from a number of sides including Benfica, PSV, Lille, Liverpool (Rodgers was keen on a deal right from the start of the season on the basis of youth scouting reports), Juventus, Southampton, Fiorentina and Genoa. His agent, Franklin Mala-Makani, says that he is only aware of one firm offer - and that is from Benfica who turned to Bastien after having an offer for a Chelsea player rejected.}

Just seen on sky sports whispers that monaco's valere germain is serious interest from saints, but nothing about it anywhere else. Any info ED?

So liverpool strictly said to us "only on a £20m permenant" for mama sakho.
And palace now have him in loan for rest of the season. thanks a lot liverpool

What you expect. Liverpool won't do us any favours especially as we knocked them out of the cup. Truly think Sakho would have preferred us but we don't pay those kind of wages. Time for the youngsters to get some real premier league experience until VVD comes back.

Really like the look of this guy, don't think he would be the impact 15+ goals striker everyone says we need for this season. But definate promising star for the future.

I think he should do ok, physically he has the traits to handle the PL being over 6ft and his style is to hold up play. We will have to wait and see if he settles. but its good to have more solutions and interesting possibilities

One of the best defenders in the world let alone the PL in my opinion. I think he is destined to win medals. He could walk into almost every team, so as saints fans I think we should enjoy him whilst he is here. Would not be suprised if barca/ real/ bayern came knocking. let alone liverpool/ man city

With jrod now apparantly set to stay, after the boufal signing I doubt there will be any more. Possibly a defensive back up? Who knows saints keep there cards so close we don't even know what areas they look to strengthen.

If he isn't good enough for liverpool, then he isn't good enough for saints. Plus he is the most clumsy player in premier league history. don't think I have seen him make a pass without falling on his ass.

Urrgh god no. Terrible attitude, fitness awful, lazy on the pitch, the list goes on before even mentioning the disgusting wage he is on.
If liverpool won't even have him in their squad (which I consider the same level as saints) then no way would we/ should we waste any scrap of time on him. Rant over.
