I think its really sad. There should be a real sense of optimism and excitement within the fans, with the club being in the cup semi final. But unfortunately, the Boards apparent lack of ambition, with the continual sale of our top players and not replacing them adequately has put a real dampener on things for many fans.

Unfortunately I don't think Puel has much of a say in transfers or how much money we spend. The board are to blame for the transfer policy. But I don't think Puel is getting the best out of our players. He doesn't play to their strengths.

I don't think its surprising that we dominated possession against an injury hit championship side. It was one of the worst performances I have ever seen from a Saints side, especially the first half.
Our squad is just not as strong as in previous seasons, especially in the attacking department. And this is made worse by using tactics which don't play to the strengths of the players that we have.

I agree, we're lighter up front now than at the end of last season, and yet we have more games scheduled. So I'm hoping one more attacking player to come in, especially with the fitness record of Jay Rod and Charlie.
