To be honest i'm not really mad at van djik whatsoever because what southampton is to us will never be to him, to him we're just another workplace and if anyone these days gets a better pay else where they'll go its a no brainer loyality in football is long gone but we need to be realistic people!
Is van djik a world class player? Absolutely!
will our defence miss him? Yes!
Why did he sign a 6 year contract? Money!
Who should we sell to? To the highest bidder (hoping its not liverpool)

Is it just me or is jeremy pied a really good talent I mean from what I've seen at the end of last season he looks like an awesome player. I've got a feeling he'll be featuring more tha most people expect next season.

We only got Gab and Charlie as main strikers now. Redmond and Long can score 4 or 5 each as well. Sam needs a season more. Meaning, we need an actual 3rd main striker (Long is not a striker as he can't actually score goals, he just runs around causing some confusion at times)

Having a 3rd "main striker" is too much. We don't know what formation we're playing with yet, but that could mean a lot of players getting frustrated at lack of games and picking up wages for nothing. Gabbiadini and Austin are the main menu competing, long as back up is sufficient and Gallagher as the youth waiting for his chance. That's a perfect set up.

Well not to be pessimistic but judging by our performance against burnley and liverpool's performance aganist Norwich and Chelsea I'd be fine with conceding anything less than 5 this weekend.

I belive the only thing we need right now is a central attacking midfielder who can receive the ball from our defence midfielders and and terrify the opposition defence by making crazy runs into space through midfield and and linking our stranded strikers.

Agreed! I can't remember the last time we had a confident Attacking Midfielder that would shoot on-sight (unless I go back to the days of Glenn Cockerill, Jimmy Case and Barry Horne! ) . I used to think Tadic could be that player, but he's more up and down than a flight of stairs.

although I'd like to see Austin play but SaintySaintSaint is right even though long doesn't score he's contribution to the team is far greater than Austin's so I'd say let Austin come in as a sub earlier in the match.

I read the rumours last night and thought naah that would never happen guess I underestimated swansea then. but lemina was a great signing for us too.
