I think the only thing that a lot of people get annoyed about is not so much about the way the club is run . We know the club is run brilliantly but the lack of information given to the supporters makes them become very frustrated which I think is very understandable. We know that they probably can't give any firm updates on potential sales or purchases or the appointment of a new manager if they are not finalised but they could do one thing . They could at least acknowledge that we exist . Just a quick statement from the board stating that they know the supporters are interested about what is happening within the club and that they are progressing well with their appointments. Just saying absolutely nothing makes people uneasy . It would to me just be a sensible thing to do . If they have nothing to say at this time fine, but at least tell us that.

Agree I feel that the lack of communication is appalling. Bearing in mind the way Koeman's supposed negotiations were going well and then collapsed the current silence can only make fans think that negotiations for a new manager are not progressing well. Some sort of statement, however bland, would be appreciated.

Not asking for information Milky just a word to say that things are progressing . If the season was on now the likes of Adam Blackmore would be asking for any news regarding these things . I obviously see it differently to most of you, just a couple of communicative words that's all we need .

The thing is that when Ralph does this he says ridiculous things such as telling us that he'll reveal the managerial shortlist (that's what he said when Poch left) and we all know what happens when Les gets in front of a camera for an update.

it's not the lack of information. It's a complete lack of any communication. I realise sensitive information will be withheld but some form of communication would be appreciated just to acknowledge our existence. Everything we've had so far has come from the Echo.

They could say something along the lines of "we know that fans want to know what's happening. Rest assured negotiations are ongoing and we will have news shortly" At the present time the Club say nothing and all we get is information from the Daily Echo. It seems like the Club have stopped talking to the supporters when a few well chosen words are all that is needed.

Eds beat me to it. We can expect them to say nothing at all to us, and that’s exactly how it should be – until there is something to tell us. Like the signing of Nathan Redmond, for example. I’d rather they be spending their time signing our new Manager, and players, and just doing their jobs really. I don’t want them wasting their time and effort giving press conferences or making announcements and saying nothing of any substance, because they can’t tell us anything meaningful as that would damage the things that they’re working on.

Chris, I agree with the vast majority of your posts, but not this one. Your last sentence asks them to come and tell us that they have nothing to tell us! I’m not sure what you or any of us would get out of that.

If they’ve shown us anything over the last 5 years, it’s that they should be trusted. Unless and until they show us that they can’t be, then I’ll be with you. For now, I for one have faith in them.

You seem like a good guy, and a proper Saints fan. Please don’t become like Mikey!

Does anyone realise SFC is a multi million pound business!
As fans it may be frustrating to be left in the dark, but that is how a PROFESSIONAL business is run. It is no different to the board of M&S telling a till person about certain negotiations they are in . it is not going to happen! just because we have an emotional attachment to the club, does not mean the club have to tell us when Doris the tea lady is retiring . or for that matter, what is happening with the new manager. SFC is very well run . and conduct their business professionally. Patience .

I don't get this at all, I don't mean for any latest news on transfers or manager appointments to be given at all . For all we know ( which I am sure they're not, or at least I hope not which might be the delay ) be on a big yacht in the Med sipping champagne . Just say hello chaps ( and chapessess ) we are on the case and you'll hear something soon but don't just treat us like politicians do . We matter, at least I hope we do . Getting ready for the flack now but I think we deserve at least some kind of communication .

Last thing then I will shut up and crawl back into my cave . We are the only club in the PL that don't have a manager with 50 days to the start of the season . We have lost players and will be competing in Europe this season, players have returned for pre season training and the pre season tour starts in 4 weeks . Cutting it a bit fine in my opinion . Off now, had my say, just how I see it .

Chris if you put 2 and 2 together and get 5 like I do most of the time maybe we are getting a manager that is currently at Euro 2016. That's why the delay.

I thought that at first too but on the other hand I think it was always going to be Puel . The major delay may just have been about the amount of applications we had and had to deal with them individually . Don't know .
