Is it just me?

Surely it's glaringly obvious that we need a top or at least experienced GK to come in.

As it stands, it's either Bazuna or McCarthy which is your ultimate rock and a hard place.

One rarely has a good moment in 90 and the other one always has a bad moment in 90. One can't kick and the other can't catch.

And then there's Moody who is all of 17 and still not old enough to vote (until the government change the age to 16).

Which leaves us in a massive dilemma. Ramsdale could be back with us next season although I seriously doubt that. But what it does mean is that we are unlikely to shell out north of 10 mil for a new signing.

My feeling is we will get someone in who has fallen out of favour with their existing club as a kind of stop gap (pun intended).

Either that or a relatively unknown GK from Scandinavia.

As I see it, there is no upside to this.

I would have liked us to have gotten Martin Dubravka included in the Ramsdale deal either a permanent signing or a loan for a year. Then at the end of the season move him and McCarthy on. See what division we are in and get a keeper who will suit which ever league we are in.

Dubravka would have been a good shout. Do we just roll over in these transfers deals - you’re right, if they wanted Rambo then we get Dubravka plus cash.

Bazunu might surprise this season. I think he is a very good goalkeeper when fully fit and confident.
