Vilhena deal off. No new reports on other replacements so it looks like Djuricic will be the only signing today.

On BBC Sport website and read on many sites than Cork is in advanced talks with Swansea, would hate this to be true. Although Depay would be a fantastic replacement, I would prefer to keep our English players and I feel Cork was a real fan favourite.
1.) 29 Jan 2015 17:24:20
Depay is a winger so wouldn't replace Cork, although I would definitely like him :) Vilhena is a linked replacement for Cork
2.) 29 Jan 2015 17:42:02
cant understand why we would let
him go last year him and morgan ran the midfield completely
big loss if he leaves
3.) 29 Jan 2015 17:43:35
Meant Clasie not Depay!

The situation with Cork is that first Saints didn't renew his contract soon enough, then in the summer, Saints accepted a £3m bid from Palace, which fell through with the departure of Pullis.
While Cork has proved to Koeman that he is a valuable player, Cork feels let down by the club, and also feels that as Saints continue to strengthen he will get less game time.
Where did I hear this? His wife is friends with friends of mine.
I honestly can't see Cork staying unless there was a big contract on offer, but he also needs regular football - something that we seem to be offering Jack less and less these days.
On a personal note, Jack is settled at Southampton, and loves it, but he feels that he needs to move on to further his career, and to gain regular first team football.
5.) 29 Jan 2015 18:38:09
Shame. He's a good player, but a squad player. If he wants to be a regular starter - which, at this stage of his career he appears to - then he's probably right to look elsewhere.
He would never be first choice in any of the midfield roles, IMHO.
Wish him all the best. Saints need to replace him, though, as the squad can't afford to be thinned down anywhere.
6.) 29 Jan 2015 19:56:24
dont think he will be a defo starter for swansea to be honest
7.) 29 Jan 2015 20:03:44
All Cork had to do was when given the chance then play that good that Koeman would keep him in - unfortunately we have players that are better. This is no disrespect to Jack. Get the best price as possible if he is determined to go. Puzzled as why Swansea is the preferred choice. Reliable sources are indicating Filipino Djuricic (who can play anywhere along the front line and midfield) is being sought to come in on loan as a view to buy at end of season. He will be a very good addition and a good companion for fellow Serbian Tadic. Yoshida and Mane back and could feature on Sunday at some stage COYR's
8.) 30 Jan 2015 15:15:28
jack is a good player and it will be sad to see him go but think that st chris has hit the nails on the head and suspect that saints are already thinking of how we will improve the squad as move forwards

A lot of reports circulating that we are ready to beat Newcastle and Sunderland to the signing of Toby Alderweireld. Exactly what we need
22 Aug 2014 09:45:10
Koeman has confirmed that Boruc has told the club his desire to leave after being demoted from the number 1 keeper spot
1.) Shame. you can't really blame him. actually kind of annoyed that forster just walked in between the sticks when boruc was amazing last year.
2.) The whole point was added depth in that position I thought. now we still have Kelvin and Gazza as back up. please stay fit forster.
3.) Not at all, has an injury and hasn't signed another contract. Bloke is a good keeper but doesn't like competition. any class keeper in PL has to have good competition to keep him on his toes and make him better. Let's face it, since being at SM, he has always been guaranteed No 1! Now he is not guaranteed and has to work for it. !! work it out guys. bloke wants something for nothing! Don't get me wrong, I think he is an excellent stopper, but in terms of a good keeper you should welcome competition to make you better. but if you throw your teddies in a corner. well, that tells me something about your overall ability and personality! IMHO.
4.) Has forster done anything to suggest he is better than boruc over 180 mins?
5.) 24 Aug 2014 12:29:11
Well so far he hasn't;
1. Tried to cruyff turn
2. Been banned for throwing a bottle into the crowd
3. Been beaten by a goal kick
Artur at times is one of the best shot stoppers in the league however he is very inconsistent and throughout his career has made several howlers which don't fill me with confidence. Personally Forster looks like a unit and what I have seen from him for us the last 2 matches has been good. Is quick of his line, kicking is better then I expected, looks to be a good shot stopper. Really think he is a great shout so far.

Gardos officially signed, fee thought to be in the region of £6 million
1.) 14 Aug 2014 17:43:27
Who's next in. :)
2.) Today is a good day
3.) Yeap, and judging by his first interview he is still carrying an injury/not match fit and will not be starting against Liverhampton on Sunday
4.) Came across very well in his interview and seems as though he is genuinely super excited to be at Southampton. Does speak good english and does look a good player. Good signing.
5.) Army Saint! Next up Ron Vlaar Aston Villa me thinks :-)
6.) 15 Aug 2014 07:57:20
From what I can make out Luis Van Gaal is a bit of a bully when it comes to getting the players fit. Luke Shaw has been over trained and done a hamstring but I remember he was always injured or at least carrying one when playing for us. Might have been the best business ever and although he potentially is a top top player that makes no difference if you are always in the treatment room. I have a strong feeling we are going to sign a pacey winger / inside forward early next week, I think Koeman wants Belhanda and is just waiting for them to comeback with the right deal.
7.) 15 Aug 2014 09:24:22
What position will we finish
8.) 15 Aug 2014 09:26:07
Totally agree barnacle about Ron Vlaar even though PL got annoyed that Koeman showed interest in public about us signing him I think he knows that he is going to struggle to keep him. Just feel RK is laying low and hoping towards the end of the transfer window we can jump in and offer a contract that Vlaar can't turn down and jump the queue before the other interested clubs have got time to react.
9.) No, Luke's just lazy and doesn't care if he gets fined because he's on 100k a week

Toby gone to Spurs, official. Unlucky not to get him, would of been a brilliant signing! Oh well no we wait and see who else we have lined up!
16 Jun 2015 17:44:30
Juanmi officially signed on a four year contract
27 Aug 2014 10:19:07
Koeman has revealed that the club are hoping to finalise two transfers by the end of this week. Koeman refused to talk names or positions, but suggested the two players play two different positions. In my opinion we need a winger to cover until Jay is back and another CB to add depth at the back. I think Gaston should get a chance this season, seen glimpses of magic from him but never really given the chance.
1.) I agree, I don't think it will be Townsend as I doubt Spurs will sell to us until we give them Shneiderlin, so I hope it will be Redmond and then hopefully Alderwield too!
2.) Redmond is very average. hope we don't sign him
24 Aug 2014 23:28:35
Put in a new 12 million bid for Townsend according to sky sports. Wouldn't complain if we signed him, but if this bid is rejected we should look somewhere else as don't want us to be spending near 20 million on him
1.) A pacey winger has been one of the obvious priorites for some time, Hopefully Les will get on with this job NOW. You don't have to be a genius to work this one out. So go and get Redmond today!
29 Jul 2014 16:48:09
RK has stated that Morgan and Jay will both be staying at the club. When asked whether he could guarantee Saints fans that they will be staying, he replied 'that's correct' I really hope he's being truthful this time and I hope we can bring in a few players before next week. COYR!
04 Aug 2015 12:37:39
Defo will NOT happen, but he will be a class player in the future. If it would happen Shalke wouldn't let him leave on a permanent transfer, wouldn't be surprised if a deal similar to Toby's was written up.

Decent post mate
07 Jul 2015 12:57:17
STILL after last season people hear one fan say he isn't good enough and suddenly we're buying rubbish players. I think the staff know how good a player is a lot more than some of you on here so can you all please stop moaning about everything. Just because it's not a player you want us to sign, does not mean he's a bad player.
01 Jul 2015 23:37:18
qwertyell, please remember that post in 6 months and we'll see what you're saying then
01 Jul 2015 20:29:54
Completely agree with Stuie76, after last year I think it's ridiculous people are actually worrying about signings! After last season I could name 3 or 4 users who said we didn't have enough squad depth or quality to compete and some even agreed that we could get relegated, what are they saying now? We need to just relax and let the staff do their brilliant work as usual, COYR!!
27 Aug 2014 11:13:43
Koeman said he's hopeful of signing two players this week!
