Potential: Lalana
soon to be available: Farke
Pipe dream: Gerrard

I think at this stage we should forget about playoffs and focus on the relegation threat.a proven manager specifically in the championship is necessary. Accordingly, Mowbray wasnt such a daft idea, even if a tad uninspiring. And Farke would be a good option when Leeds can him. Priority is to get to January in better shape than now, then exit all the sabateurs who made Stills job even harder than he made it

Carrick, Farke, Mowbray, Ralph or Copper would be a sensible shortlist but we will probably get Spor's second cousin from Germany!

Also depends who the players play for. Anybody with blunt talk or who pushes for fitness seems to have sabotage operations against them.

Right now I’d take Carsley in a heartbeat, had his teams playing superb football but he wouldn’t come to this clown show. I’d take Carrick, I’d take O’Neil, but the outsider coming in seems to be Carlos Corberan.

Given the perverse world of football management, he’s expected to soon be sacked by Valencia and has done well in the Champ before - his WBA side are who we beat in the play-offs and he did well getting them that far.

Honestly I don’t expect anything of the sort. It’ll be an obscure Swiss who managed Magdeburg and we’ll scrape survival. What I worry about with a win on Saturday is they appoint Eckert, and we get back on the Selles/Rusk ferris wheel which went horrendously.

Carsley is an interesting choice. He would bring on youth and does have some limited championship experience, which I just found out about.

Corberan could get the best out of Fellows. I am nervy about the SR left field appointments. Cortese pulled them off, SR do not.
