We have been linked with sakho. Any truths in this eds?

{Ed002's Note - He may be an option for a loan as was explained yesterday.}

Ok thanks hadn't picked that up.

I thinks it would be a good option though.

Eds how likely are Liverpool to let him go on loan? . or would they prefer a permanent transfer? . maybe fonte to Liverpool on a permanent and sakho to us on loan as part of the deal? .

{Ed002's Note - It will all be about money and why would Liverpool want Fonte?}

I've read elsewhere that Liverpool do not want a loan deal and are looking to get rid permanently, as he has no future whatsoever at 'Pool. However, they want most of the £18M they paid. If they can't get rid they MAY consider a loan near the end of the window. Can't see us paying much more than circa £10M but you never know.

No idea why Liverpool believe they should make a profit on failures, but they always seem to manage it.

{Ed001's Note - a profit on failures? He is a cult hero amongst most Liverpool fans because he was excellent when he had his head right. He just needs to grow up and turn up time and stop messing around in team meetings etc. On his day he can look like Bambi on ice, but he will look awkward while still playing excellent passes and dribbling past players trying to close him down thinking he must be struggling because he looks awkward. Sakho is a bit like Crouch, looks like he has no control over his limbs at all, but somehow it works. His main weakness is his heading, he has a head like a 50p piece and his headers can literally go anywhere!}

Maybe "non successes" would be more appropriate. Liverpool don't want him, ergo he hasn't been a success. Most clubs have to cut their losses on such players. Shelvey also springs to mind, couldn't get in their side yet his value doubled! If Schneiderlin had gone to Liverpool for £25M and had played about 10 games in 2 years, they'd be insisting on £30M.

Minor detail, and an obiter dicta comment. I still wouldn't mind seeing him at Saints at all.

Lol at 50p piece

Wanderings ain't, Liverpool have made many losses over the years on players. It may only be that we make a lot of money recent years as the players we've sold have been some of our better ones. But the amount of players houlier, benitez, hodgeson and rodgers that were crap and we paid good money for them and then either sold them cheap or had to pay them to get of our books is a lot more.

Lamo. What a surprise. What did I say. BBC reporting that Liverpool want £20M. A profit. On a player who they don't even want training with the rest of the squad, and hasn't been involved with the first team for over 6 months.

That'll be the end of this one.
