Just reading a blog elsewhere which is fuming at Ralph for waxing lyrical about Saints being the pride of London following our cup exit at Chelsea.
The blogger makes the point that he would rather have won playing scrappy than lose playing exciting football. To be honest I totally agree.
I also find it hard to be upbeat whenever we lose even if it is a so called heroic failure.
Could Ronald Koeman 'come home' now please . I mean what have Newcastle got that we haven't!

This weekend we’ll see if Ralph sticks to his ‘favourites’. His favourites, ie Redmond, Djenepo, Walcott, McCarthy and JWP will be his downfall.

The goalkeeper has to be Forster
The CB’s have to be Salisu and Lyanco!
The wingbacks have to KWP/ Tino and Perraud

Midfield has to include Diallo and S. Armstrong

Up front Broja has to play with Adams or Armstrong

This is not picking players because he likes them, it’s because they add so much to the dynamics of the team.

If Ralph continues to pick players that are his favourites, it will be his downfall.

Do I think Koeman could do a better job, absolutely!
Do I want Koeman Back . absolutely

Would Koeman have taken on Tella and brought on Walcott - not on your life!
Would Koeman have left Djenepo on for 83 minutes! Before bringing on Tino? Djenepo would not have started

So Ralph now is your chance to show you pick players on performance and merit.

I’m with you 100% on team selection Rich.
And, if he goes with that line-up then I would fancy us on Saturday. The ‘favourites’ will bore the pants off Saints fans and come away with nothing.

Imo, drawing against Chelsea was a good result and we lost on penalties, not the actual game.
It's interesting that you'd criticise the manager for celebrating a bad result but you also want him to select that same losing team that he celebrated the loss with.

The Djenepo situation was weird, it looked like Ralph was going to replace the fullbacks. But him and Djenepo spoke, and then he replaced the CM's instead. And 5 minutes later Djenepo injured himself.
