I am not sure what Ralph was thinking last night, surely he should have rested key players for Sunday, as it was he putout what looks like our first team who were then totally outplayed by a WBA team who were first to every contested ball, also once the game was gone at 3-0 he was very slow to make substitutions to save weary legs for Sunday, in conclusion that display like many others this season was an absolute shambles and makes me wonder if we have the right leadership both on and off the field.

I actually believe some of our players were deliberately late to the ball, deliberately didn’t chase back too hard. Walcott was playing at half speed, Diallo was trotting around and I’m not sure he made a single tackle.
JWP’s position - who is telling him to play so deep, even playing in the wing backs slot at times? He certainly wasn’t leading the team! Ings and Armstrong fought and fought as they always do, Armstrong would make a great and deserved Captain!
It was a shambles as you say!
Ralph talked about giving the team confidence before the semi final, what he got was a bunch of players who thought they were safe for the final.
But I’d love to hear from an Ed . is playing at Wembley such a dream for many that they will put in a poor shift before so they don’t get injured .

I can’t give you the Ed’s opinion but I will share mine. If Ralph wasn’t such an honourable guy he would be absolutely slated for his tactical incompetence. He cuts a very disillusioned figure on the sidelines and that transmits to the players. You’re right, the leadership and inspiration is woeful. We have forgiven Ralph for two embarrassing heavy defeats but in many respects last night was just as bad.
Some of our average players (Redmond, Walcott, Bertrand especially) playing like big time Charlie’s because they’ve reached a semi is unforgivable. Our two best players (IMO) - Ings and KWP ran their socks off - as they always do.
What is hugely disappointing - and again I point the finger at Ralph, is that we do not have the first clue how good the young boys on the bench are. His customary ploy of giving them 5 minutes at the end of a game is fast becoming a joke.
Assuming (and please God I’m wrong) Leicester turn us over on Sunday then we should give the kids a chance for the remainder of the season - serious game time. We are virtually safe and already we know we are going to be in a battle next season with in all probability a weaker squad.
So - Ralph, as I see it - Sunday is last chance saloon. Get it right and you will live long in the annals of Saint’s history. Get it wrong and we all know how you will be remembered. You will always be a top guy though in the other important aspects of life.

While I think Ralph is showing signs of Premier League Naivety, what could he do about the way his players were performing? Other than substitute 8/ 9 players, I am sure like us, he was thinking WTF!

From the very first minutes you knew our players were underperforming! If this was some other country, I’d be convinced they had taken a back hander! It was that bad!
I have to stop posting about the match . it’s driving me nuts! To sum up, my friend phoned me five minutes into the game and said . ‘I’m turning this off’ . that is how obvious we were not trying . disgraceful.

Norfolk Saint you’re on the money with respect to the left back position. All season this has put us at a 10% disadvantage of outfield players to. our opposition without a ball being. kicked. Unfortunately at present we have at least 3 such players which increases the burden placed on the remainder. I recently posted a suggestion for players to be given an opportunity to start on Sunday to which I would add Tella and Djnepo. Ralph you may need to ditch the Security Blanket team in order to Steal A March on the Wiley old Fox Brendan Rodgers. Very best of luck! q.
