Great to see that Ralph has picked our strongest available team today, hope the boys can do the business but expecting a very hard game against a team whose football is better than there results. Also would like to congratulate Steven Davis for winning the Scottish Premiership with Rangers, he is probably a player who we let go too soon, a player who always have 100 per cent.

What a shower of sh@t how can we find it so difficult to break down a team defending deep. Didn’t even bother shooting from range pitiful.

All the looks of a mid-table Championship side and a squad to match if the truth be told. The lack of urgency was shameful and too many players simply unable to take the ball on the half term. JWP needs to take a long look at his contribution too. Free kicks aside, he always looks to pass the ball backwards and sideways if he’s feeling bold. Bertie is the same - dreadful.
And the point of being N’Lundulu with 4 mins left? Give the boy a proper chance.
Sorry Ralph - lovely fella but you have been given every chance and you’ve misplaced your faith in players who week in week out let you down aka Redmond.

I really like Ralph, but my support is slipping. Brighton totally played us at our own game and were much better at it.

I know there’s a lot of talk around a small squad, but we have ‘squad’ players on loan and we sold one of our best 6s in Harrison Reed. Also loaned out all our full back cover. Who’s making the decisions? If Ralph is, then I question his ability. What other managers are out there who could improve us? Benitez? He definitely could come in and improve us.

{Ed077's Note - Brighton outplay/outmatch teams almost every week, have been doing that all season. Today they also managed to win the game which they very rarely do. Well they didn't really outplay you guys.

Minamino nowhere need premier league Forster at fault for first. No width to may backwards passes unable to break down a team defending deep. Walker peters jwp and Adam’s played ok. Throw ins are a joke no options ever stop breaking and going backwards use reload pace and play the ball in behind. Redmond and djenepo narrowing the pitch again just shoot if nothing in Kepler hardly world class. Made a poor team look average today.

You know the games gone when our first (and painfully/ arguably best) option in an attacking mindset is Redmond.

I can’t calm down.
There comes a time in a football match when it is perfectly acceptable to lump the ball forward. That’s generally around the 85 minute mark when you’re losing. If your best laid plans have failed to get any penetration in the opposition half do something, anything, different.
The sight of our back four playing slide rule passes to each other deep in our own half in time added on is enough to make a grown man weep.
I said a week ago that neither of our goalkeeper are good enough at this level and the last few days have proved me right - Forster went down in instalments for their first and let’s not talk about McCarthy’s third touch v Man City.
What should have been an enjoyable end of season run in is looking anything but.
Well done for keeping the faith everyone - it’s tough at times like this though!

I agree with the time to lump it. We bring big Dan on in an obvious plan to bombard their box. But no, sideways, sideways, backwards. We also have the biggest centre half in the league. Throw him up front too for the last 5-10 mins - cause some havoc. They had worked us out and we didn’t try and change it. Try something different. Go for it. The last game Ralph says it’s better to lose after having a go. Next game, it looks like he’s shut up shop and not get caught on the break. Poor game management.

Agree Manny that Benitez would be an excellent choice ( if needs be) along with Graham Potter ( Brighton) with his Southampton connections.
