So far this season we've spent the following:

Ings - 18m
Adams - 15m
Djenepo - 15m

And we've made the following from sales
Targett - 11m
Gallagher - 5m
Gabbiadini - 10m (money's been spent)

I would imagine that Ings money was already forecast so that wouldn't come out of the pot of transfers this season. Cutting out the deadwood is going to be hard, but he's what we have and what we could end up making.

Austin - 5-8m
Lemina - 20-25m
Stephens - 5-8m
Hoedt - 8-10m
Boufal - 8-10m
McCarthy - 5-8m
Forster - 5-8m
Clasie - 3m
Carrillo - 8-10m
Cedric - 8-10m

So by cutting out these players we could make 100m (I don't think we'll be able to sell half of these) - RH has said he only wants to spend 15m on players, anyone that comes in will be young and cheap. We're building a squad for tomorrow and not for today. I would imagine we already have the players we want in the pipeline, we're just waiting for sufficient funds to do so.

Sorry Saintjay, I know this is probably personal opinion but there is no way we will get a transfer fee for Forster. It is pretty much common knowledge that saints would happily let him go for free to get him off the wage bill, but there are no takers due to high wage. Think we are stuck with him until contract expires.

I think some of the others would be very optimistic too, such as 8-10M for Hoedt.

I know I was probably being a bit too optimistic earlier - we've shot ourselves in the foot with our players on their massive salaries. Most first-team players earn over 50k a week and they're simply awful and bring nothing to the club, annoyingly we can't get rid of them to lower clubs because they don't want to take the hit.

I only say this for Hoedt because I've read the rumour that his agent has met with AC Milan about the possibilities for a deal of 10m. But yeah those amounts were just pulled out of the sky and bear no relevance to anything in reality.

I don't think we'll be able to flog our GK's, maybe McCarthy but I can't see FF leaving this summer. I think we'll sell Lemina, Boufal, Austin and Clasie, don't think the others will go though.
