Not seen too much of him but I wasn't over impressed with him. Certainly don't think he's an upgrade on what we already have.

{Ed007's Note - Armstrong's a hard working box to box midfielder with an eye for a goal and I think he might surprise a few people next year. I'm disappointed to see him leave Celtic but it was always on the cards since he only signed a years extension last summer and I hope he does well, he's a nice lad with a level head on his shoulders - oh and he has a law degree!}

different type of player to Tadic. Coming in to be an upgrade on Davis.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I wouldn't question any of our buys from Celtic due to the success rate we have had with their players!

If he's a replacement for Davis then this signing is entirely welcomed. Younger, fresher, and still got his legs with him. The midfield department is well stocked for competition for the upcoming season. Although you have to wonder what this means for Reed, Clasie, and of course, Davis himself. Maybe even Lemina. Eds, any potential movement for either aformentioned players if the Armstrong deal goes ahead.

Thank you for the comments! If he's Davis' successor then fine. And very true that Celtic players have done brilliant for us! But pacy wingers and creative AMC is what we really need!

I think we will be surprised by Armstrong. Whether we use him as a box to box or more attacking, the lad has goals in him. And, for all us old timers out there, he is a good as his namesake (David) then we will be very happy.
Pacy winger? Errrr we have one, Sims. Let's use him for gods sake, rather than let him suffocat e on the bench.

DC, Stevie Williams, like most, went downhill once he left the Dell. All good memories of good players, great teams and a great manager.
