Frankly bored with the VVD rumours now.
We have a good team and with some minor tweaks I really do believe we have a great first 11.
If he goes he will need replacing but I hope he doesn't and gives us another season.
I'm more concerned about losing Cedric, Bertrand and Romeu.

He is going of that there is no doubt. Just a question of SFC making it seem they have done everything to keep him. They promised that no players would be sold to the new manager which I personally don't think they really thought they could guarantee. I just think there is a £30m centre back out there as good as VVD trouble is could we sign him with our wage structure, not sure of that. If they are that good they would want more money.

Totally peed off at the moment, No excitement about the new season
all we hear about is VVD. Not a thing about strengthening the team.
Anyone with any football brain can see from last season that we are 3 Quality players short, but all we hear is 3-4 players going. The club are trying to look tough and say VVD will not go, I think most of us do not really believe this. TELL him to give us 1 more season and he can then follow his Wallet and go.
The same happened with Schneiderlin. There NEVER seems to be any GOOD News come out of St Marys, even the Takeover is a Joke. Come on Mr Reed, we have paid good money for our tickets, give us some value for our money. Looks like we cannot buy until we sell, other clubs are strengthening Pull your finger out!

Don't think the 3 players above will be leaving. Bertrand was wanted by City and they've just splashed out however much on full backs. Plus City singing Walker for 50m means we should be asking at least 30m for Bertrand. That's the position that football is in right now. As for Romeu, I can't see him at a bigger club than Southampton where he would be getting regular first team football.
The Cedric rumours have died down, but he's not currently in the squad, so we'll see what happens when he returns. I think Cedric is probably one of the best full-backs in the league and will just keep getting better.
I'd like us to keep these players. But every rumour that comes in is disappointing. I feel that we buy players that we know we will sell on for a profit. This is why I think we haven't chased players that cost more than 20m. You look at Boufal, Hojbjerg, I don't think they were bought to improve the squad but bought to develop and sell at a profit. It's disappointing but it is the business model. You look at the money Keoman is spending at Everton and it makes sense why he left and has slated us for having no ambition.

Take away the value of lukaku being sold and Everton have spent about 25 million. plus the extra wages. so it's not as big as you think. Everton are also owned by another tycoon in the abramovic mould that can use the club as his plaything and spend as he likes. We are not. We have an owner who is trying to make sure we progress and build in a lasting and sustainable way instead going all out for 3 or 4 years and then going bust. again.

Yes and understand and I agree with you Milky. However, there is building a sustainable team. However, the rate we buy youngsters and sell them shows a lack of ambition. Obviously when Liverpool and Manchester United come knocking and a player wants to leave there is nothing we can do.

I mean the media, of course, doesn't help, which is where I read most information. All it takes is one of our players to have a couple of good games and suddenly every club wants in. However, it seems like this is only the case for us. And the only money we seem to invest in the squad comes from outgoing transfers. What about sponsorship deals and Sky money? Where does all of this money, obviously I'm not saying we should spend every penny the club makes on bad signings.

That being said, it obviously comes from a lack of bad management why players choose to leave. As their managers leave at the first opportunity. Last season we stepped backwards and I don't want to entirely blame Puel for that. It almost feels like there is no long term goal, apart from to remain sustainable.

Hi Guys

Its the same old story no one will be sold this summer or at least till the last week of the transfer month, then the board can say its to late to buy anyone better than we got now. KL can then fill her purse up again, that's when she will sell the club to the Lander sports group and push of with another £200 plus million, Where has all the sponsership money gone, where has all the sky TV money gone where has the money gone for our 8th place finish in the Prem div. OH I forgot to say KL probably got a massive purse.

Dissilusioned.
