Eds do you know if rumours that Tuchel isn't interested or on the shortlist are true? And if interviews for De Boer and Pellegrino are going ahead? Thanks.

I would have thought we would chase De Boer. Since he was quite strongly linked last year and a favourite from bookmakers for quite a while but went to Inter.
I would have thought that there are a plan and place we would have already had a replacement in place way before we sacked Puel. I wouldn't think that we are the sort of club to sack our manager with the risk of not having a new one in place. When we got rid of Atkins, Poch was announced fairly quickly if I remember correctly.

I have to say I am a little disappointed that it was not a quick appointment. Surely they should have got the manager they wanted lined up before sacking Puel. I was sure it was Tushel we were after and was gutted when he ruled himself out. If the choice according to the papers is Stam, deBoer and Pelegino, I can't help thinking Puel would have been a better choice. I don't know why I am worrying as the board seem to pull it out the bag every time . Just wish it was a bit quicker!

I wouldn't be surprised if club have a gentlemans agreement with someone but can't announce anything until all parties I. e assistant manager/ backroom staff etc are in place especially if they are foreign and need to convince family, severance for puel and his staff and negotiating with a new manager will take a long time.
