VVD has a six year contract. Everton have £100 million to spend.

That will do for VVD thanks Roko.

VVD has a long contract. He will stay for two years and then listen to offers. Even the ED must realise that we have no need to sell under £50 million ( or double that to Everton)

PS No one appears to have bought any substantial player into the PL yet. Only those who come here to retire.

Like I said on the other post, the club have done everything their side of things to keep hold of him.

Personally I think we could resist offers this summer by simply playing the same card as we did for Schneiderlin and Wanyama, if Van Dijk were to wantaway, but for the moment there's no indication of that being necessitated.

Rumours like the VVD one worry me. They seem so unrealistic but Saints are so unpredictable when it comes to offloading.
