Well that was fun!

Triumph out of chaos - all the strikers taking turns and yet of all people it is Manning and Stephens who come up with the goods.

You couldn't write it.

Absolutely lots of attackers on the pitch at the end and two defenders score the goals! A few good performances today which gives hope for the season . Still frail in defence though.

Bit too early to call St Mary’s a fortress eh!

But it has certainly lifted the spirits.

I was interested in Robinson’s performance - for me, there’s not much to choose between him and Dibling. It is unlikely that they would both be selected in the starting line up so let’s take the Dibling money and spend it wisely. I agree, we looked weak at the back especially to the ball through the middle or over the top.

That said, Stephens was my MoM today and never have I said that before. Shame about Edwards though - maybe he should lose the soppy looking headband and focus on defensive duties.

{Ed001's Note - I was very impressed by Robinson - I would rather have him in my team than Dibling on that showing. Dibling runs around a lot but makes bad decisions constantly, whereas Robinson showed much better decision making.}

Make you right Ed. I think most of us will watch his progress ar arms length - be it Everton or wherever. The thing is, he’s not going to be a nailed on starter for a year or two. He won’t get the game time he needs to really kick on. Time will tell, but he my have been better off staying with us for another season.

Loving the fight and passion from Manning, Bazunu and Stephens!

Edwards, Armstrong and Quarshie need some time.

Credit to Still for getting the team fit and believing. Now we can bring on 5 subs and keep the quality!

Given me hope and maybe Fellows and Rudoni to join too!
