I am obliged to say where I have heard this from however I have heard through the grapevine Southampton are believed to be interested in signing Adam Lallana, Nathaniel Clyne and Morgan Schneiderlin. Or at least one of the 3 preferably Clyne suiting Ralph’s number one priority position. All 3 players are waiting by the exit door of their current clubs and although age is not on their sides anymore the Saints are thought to hold great intent on re signing at least one of the 3. I don’t know how true this is, however when I was told about this I was quick enough to research/ Google these players and it turns out this could actually be genuine. I know the first person to comment on here will say never going to happen it doesn’t suit Southampton recruitment policy etc. Etc. But maybe Ralph believes these players could make the team a real success and push higher than just to retain Premier League status. Who knows but posting what I’ve been told which I found very interesting.

{Ed001's Note - Clyne is out injured for the season.}

True although reports suggest Liverpool have already had enquiries for his services from several clubs and he’s set to recover from his injury soon. All I’ve heard come out of Southampton is the need and priority of bringing in full backs. I can’t help but think we are one of those clubs who have made an enquiry. Thoughts?

{Ed001's Note - unless I have missed something, his contract is up in the summer.}

Sorry, no to all three. Spidey is not the player he was and Clyne has spent more time on the injury list than on the field. We don't know what kind of player he'll be like once he's able to play. That and being on high wages as well. In fact they all are. Really hope that's just lazy journalism wherever your source is from. Just because Matt Crocker returned doesn't mean the ex players are coming back as well.

So you wouldn’t take a fit Adam Lallana back Vick?

Cedric Soares leaving Southampton

a fit Adam Lallana? Yes
his attitude, baggage and physio bill? no.

1885 we're looking at Maehle for the right back spot aren't we? Younger and fitter, probably won't be on as high as wages. Crystal Palace and West Ham looks more possible for Clyne than us.

No thank you to Clyne, Lallana and Schneiderlin. They all ruined their careers by leaving us, why on earth should we help or care them a bit? As Vick said, Maehle looks much more likeable and fits into Saints' transfer policy.

{Ed001's Note - Clyne ruined his career due to his lifestyle.}

Whatever, Eds :) Ruined anyway after leaving.

In all fairness I respect Spider on how he conducted himself back then. You can see as well from his tweet that he really cares for the club and was frustrated with the quick fire sales that happened at the time. Didn't complain when we asked him to stay for one more season, put his head down and gave his all. He deserved his move.

Personally I wouldn't want any of them back. Been there done that. We need to look forward and not take backward steps.
