Koeman has said Schneiderlin is staying!

Nathan Redmond is being linked to us for £6 Million. What a signing that would be!
1.) Underrated player IMO. Looked good against us last season - tricky player and would happily see him join for £6mil
2.) Would be a great signing can never understand why he went to Norwich in the first place?
3.) See him play for eng u21s a couple of months ago, was head and shoulders above the rest and scored, sign him up please, very pacy, would be a steel for 6m
4.) Couldn't believe we didn't sign him a couple of years ago from Birmingham, at £3.5m he would have been a steal, but with a years experience in the premier he would still be a bargain at £6m. Good English prospect who in 2-3 years we can sale for £25m LOL. Would be good but I've read no papers today so don't know where this rumor has come from.
5.) Think he's quite raw still, definitely needs guidance but has the potential to be a good winger, Koeman with his reputation of developing young players can do him a lot of good. £6m is decent business for a young English prospect too
6.) Would love to see him at St Mary's. Definitely an uncut diamond.

All these rumours are doing my head in, seems we are going to sign about 25 players according to what has been put on line. So far we have signed ONE and I think RoKo has already got the deals done in his head. I think all the other speculation is clubs who are struggling financially and see us as a meal ticket. I understand that everybody wants British players in our team but they are all over priced unless you want to pay 30 - 40 million for them. Wait and see, I think Koeman could be a magnet for us with European players wanting to play for him and us getting quality for a much lower financial outlay giving us a bit of a nest egg for anybody else that takes our fancy. Feeling pretty confident although I would really like to see something happening soon only 37 days to kick off.
8.) I'm looking forwRd to seeing saints play a different style. I think Redmond is a good young English winger, if we are playing with wingers this year then we will need to sign another. Tadic and reed are the only ones I can think if. I think ramires prefers a central role for Uruguay although when he joined saints I thought of him as a side player

Good player. Just need to sign someone soon. Shame we never went for caulker to boost our defence. If Lovren n spider go we have a job on our hands in rebuilding and bringing new talent through.

Agree. With so many of our seasoned players going. It will be nigh on impossible to rebuild to the same level with the same level of team spirit.
If what someone put a day or two ago about other teams knowing we are cash rich at the moment, it does make me nervous we are going to be priced out of many of the players we want.
Was hoping to have at least two or three in place soon so we could get some kind of pre season team building under our belts.
I do have faith, I always have done. But. We have a massive mountain to climb at the moment
3.) I know he used 5-3-2 but he won't use it all the time, he'll vary our tactics as he mainly uses 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 too, he'd be a good signing but would like to see Targett be given a chance

Rafa Silva and Dusan Tadic being lined up. Also Timothee Kolodziejczak.
1.) I'd rather buy English. I hope the sale of Shaw (and Lambert) won't lead to the domino effect of home grown players being replaced by others that have no premier league experience, there is no guarantee that they will adapt to the football or culture here.
G. Ramirez looked great before buying him, and well he's not really delivered, and at what cost.
Also, hopefully we would have had the clout to have lined up suitable replacements (better than those that were sold), are we going to lose the Southampton way under the new board?
Lallana also looks set to leave - leaving just 18 first team players.
2.) If they got Rafa, Tadic and Kolo I think that would be a reasonable trade off, with plenty of change left over I'd assume.
Don't go English. Too expensive. Big time Charlies.

We have good players coming through at all levels but they aren't quite ready. The club will ease them in by giving them bench places or cup starts.the club know what they are doing.
We got Koeman because he fitted in with the "Southampton way" so I wouldn't worry too much about a change in tactics.
4.) I think Taggart will go straight in to replace Shaw, like Chambers went straight in to replace the injured Clyne last year, I think we have a great replacement in JWP and even Ramirez for Adam but even so would love to go for someone even more ambitious like Shaqiri, that would really show that we mean business!
5.) I also think Koeman is a fantastic coach and that we could see a huge improvement in some young players, particularly the likes of Stephens, Turnball and Debayo as they'll be learning from one of the best CB's of his generation and a Dutch and Barca legend!

I'm cautiously optimistic but would also like to keep the squad intact, I suppose my expectations are unrealistic
7.) I agree, English would be too expensive. We have a conveyor belt of talented english youngsters coming through anyway (Reed, McQueen, Targett, Rowe) on top of the likes of Chambers, Ward-Prowse and Gallagher we don't to buy other club's talent.
8.) I think because clubs like chelsea and Manchester United have already spent around £60 million each and the other top clubs are starting to buy, that has quietened talks about Rafa Silva, making him more available to teams like southampton, i'm not sure if we need both him AND tadic, but considering the money we have now I think we could sign them both up along with pelle.
9.) Those buys would be amazing I agree a good and fair trade off! If we get van djick as well we will be fine! Yes ads, rickie and shaw going are going to be tough to replace but I for one have total faith in Saint Ronald and his back room team! Pelle will be awesome and Ronald will get the best out of osvaldo!
10.) If we are all honest surely Nicola and then poch leaving pretty much meant that the dream (unrealistic as it was) of winning the league was over and I say unrealistic because I couldn't see us going out and spending 35/45 million on one player like all champion winning teams do.
We pretty much knew shaw and Lallana were off - and fair play to the board for the price we got.
Koeman would have come in knowing that they would be leaving and would have started recruiting replacements.
I personally believe that 7th is the best we could hope for this coming season and with the right purchases is still very possible. Players move on and Adam and Luke been great for saints and deserve there chance to progress quicker then we could offer.
Rumours and inside hear say are ( prob nothing new but it's what I've heard)
No keeper news: defenders, caulker very interested in and talk between clubs have started, lad from Celtic who I can't remember to spell is of interest but not as great as reported in press. Kolo of interest. Midfielders tadic is the big hope but silva is also being discussed. Unsure about forwards but I believe a lot hangs on the nutter the currently have staying or leaving.
I'm impressed the board have sorted out the sells early - though don't rule out others going- now the fun begins as a fan watching us spend it. Top work so far board

It was the English "big time Charlies" (your words qwertyell) that got us to eighth in the premier league last season and dragged us from the depths of league one to one of the most attractive sides in the prem, yeah big time Charlies eh mate? Lol seems like a lot of saints fans have short memories and will sell their souls and the clubs soul for a few mediocre foreigners. Be careful what you wish for as we might end up like those fishy characters down the M27. Buy English! Lol

And Morgan Schneiderlin, Dejan Lovren and Jose Fonte had nothing to do with any of our success last season. We have a really good crop of young English talent. But to strengthen the depth in our squad Surely looking abroad is a good cheaper alternative. How many other English players are good enough on the ball to replace Lallana?
You've misinterpreted what he said. He mean United should be looking at players of Rodriguez quality, not De Vrij's.
Even £6m is a steal. Pay it.
We have Clyne and Chambers, doubt that's true.
Bags of potential. Quick, strong, good in the air. Would at the very least be good back-up.
I hope this is true. Need something concrete now.
