Surely it would be worth going after Sam Allardyce? With all his experience in the PL and success rate in recent years he should be considered at least a safe pair of hands?

I'd suggest not posting whilst slaughtered on a Saturday night.

Please tell me you are kidding, we are all hoping that Puel leaves because of his boring, unentertaining football the last thing we need is a "Hoof Ball" merchant running the team in his place!

I don't think it's fair to label Big Sam as a long ball manager. When he was at Bolton he played some of the most stylish football before if was popular to do so. It just depends on the players he has available and the circumstances. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.

Your obviously mad.

5.) 11 Jun 2017 09:20:14
Well it will be Alan Pardew or Steve Maclaren. Take your pick!

Guessing or a good source?

7.) 11 Jun 2017 14:42:19
That's the level of manager who would be attracted.

8.) 12 Jun 2017 11:06:09
Barry Fry is available too. worth a shout.

Managers are no different from players. If they're poor they eventually get released. If they're good they use the club as a stepping stone to greater things. It's a fact.

^that actually makes sense and is reasonable.

It is not the club, it is a former player's words and personal opinion.

Maybe the shortlist is made up of former England managers. Allardyce, Hodgson, Erickson, Hoddle etc.

Both of whom seem to have unrealistic expectations!

I still think Allardyce would have done a better job than Puel.

{Ed002's Note - Puel is a great coach - he had to suffer poor directors and hopeless fans.}

Isn’t it a bit naive to assume he’ll be a good coach? After all these years haven’t we see enough former great players make poor coaches?
