Its clear that Charlie Austin would rather take his £40,000-£50,000 week off the table for the next year than move on.

He has his love of Horses and Pubs that will keep him busy, whilst Saints have to watch as this diminishing asset "Takes the Urine".

He has no respect for the average Joe (or Jill) that pays good money for there tickets whilst he laughs in our faces!

Hopefully he will be banned from stepping foot at Staplewood or St Mary's, in a years time he will be worth nothing, just as he is now!

Hasenhuttle has inherited a right bunch of freeloaders, you can tell that Charlies antics have stopped Aston Villa even looking at him having spurned West Brom.! Idiot.

Same with Lamina - Look at how wonderful i am, yes he has skills but the attitude and aptitude of a Mushroom. Such a waste of talent, but they all think they are the "Dogs Danglers" but in reality they are mercenaries with little or no morals.

Just been for a walk with wife, talked about this …. thinking about it, who were the most injured (supposedly) players over the last year or so

Van Dyke
Charlie Austin
Boufal
Classie
Limina
Gabiaddini

Common theme - coincidence - Or abuse of Saints good nature?

What's your point? Bertrand, Long, Ings and others has also been injured a lot. Clasie hasn't really been injured much, just not been good enough.

I don't think there's any correlation between injuries and players wanting to leave. Looking at the list of player provided they've all left for different reasons or will be leaving.

VVD - Wanted his move to Liverpool, forced his way out of the club. Did have a big injury before leaving, think that was just a coincidence.

Austin - Simply not good enough for the future plans of the club, therefore we're looking to offload. Maybe his injury problems have caused him not to get to the level he could be at.

Boufal - Fell out with MH, then loaned away, he had an injury when he first joined but has never established himself in the first team due to a lack of consistency.

Clasie - Was never good enough, he's been loaned out for the past two seasons and he's struggled to get into the first team of those loanie clubs.

Lemina - His injury has had an impact, he's was out when RH arrived, therefore feels like he's been cut out of his main position. But obviously doesn't have the drive to force his self back into the team.

Gabiaddini - I feel like he's actually left on very good terms. He never really had any injuries, I feel like the managerial appointments during his time at the club meant that he was in and out of the first team. Again like Boufal struggled with inconsistency and goal droughts.

Obviously, we don't know what goes on in the backroom. But it must be pretty disheartening to basically hear that you're not good enough and we don't want you at the club. Especially considering Austin is a decent striker with lots of experience and Lemina has played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe. I've said it before, we have a big team with lots of players at the same ability, we have 5 CB's, 5 CM's, 5 wingers and 5 strikers that should be fighting for their place in the starting 11.

I think it's a good sign though, that we're looking to offload more deadweight than before. I'm looking forward to the new season and hoping we can progress and RH can create a really good starting 11 that can beat anyone on their day.

To be fair to Charlie Austin he has always been loyal to the club and hasn't looked for the injuries he's received. He has never been disrespectful of the club or fans and the fact that he is not top drawer as a player is just what it is. Considering he only cost us £4m and his wages are not exorbitant we might as well play him for another year and concentrate on getting rid of those who are basically useless, cause ripples are on massive wages.

Hummmmm, not sure to many supports were happy seeing CA wearing a Liverpool shirt not so long ago!

Ralph is making his mark, pleased that he can shape the team to play the style of football that we all love to see.
We still have to reduce the periferal players
Hoeght
Soares
Carrillo
Elyounoussi
Foster
Gallagher (which is a shame)
Reed
Shane Long
Charlie Austin
Boufal (we should keep)

Once we clear out the above buy in three more players
Centre Back, Stephens is shaky but could come back hopefully
Any two other plays Mooy and Lookman would do me!

Shane long surely worth keeping. Just let him go on a free next summer. We know what he offers and I'm happy to have him as back up for ings and (hopefully) Adams.

Apparently Matty targett off to villa. That really is a shame. Stephens has to go for me. He's worse than hoedt! Championship level AT BEST.

Would love to see boufal come back with a vastly improved attitude, application and end product and be able to jump in with Ralph's philosophy. he'd be a world if he did. can't see it happening myself though.

Not a fan of mooy and not sure about Why lookman doesn't play more. Can any of the eds (001, 002, 025?) answer that?

{Ed002's Note - Everton are lopsided and that results in Everton having some odd line ups.}

A bit vague, but I think I know what you're saying. Cheers ed.

3.) 30 Jun 2019 14:53:45
Wouldn't mind keeping Shane for one last season and Boufal provided that his attitude has improved.

Don't remember Van Dyke being injured any time during the past year or so Peter but then it wouldn't bother Saints if he was as he signed for Liverpool over 18 months ago 😄.

We have Sam Vokins who has a lot about him too.
Sam McQueen is a fantastic player, such a shame he was so badly injured.
We have to balance the books and Ralph knows where he can cut the cloth, just trust him!
