As a centre-back? Probably wouldn’t be any worse than the current lot.

Just read that contact has been made with Poch by Man Utd. I feel that would be a great appointment.

If they were to let OGS go, surely a move for Pochettino is on the cards at Old Trafford. I think Solskjaer has time and can still do a good job, but you’d feel the lure towards Poch as being pretty exciting

Nobody else springs to mind. Bruce or Dyche aside.

For me Poch would be the manager to draw the big players in at Man Utd. OGS is a good manager, but doesn't have that magic that players are attracted to. Look at Ancelotti at Everton. Would Silva or Martinez be able to get in Allan and Rodriquez? Players are wary of Utd, not sure what’s going on there. Hence a quiet window for them. Poch would give Utd back it’s swagger.

{Ed047's Note - OGS is a pretty poor manager, failed at his previous premiership job and only achieved anything in Norway.

He was fine as an interim but United should have taken the opportunity to appointment a quality manager when they had the chance.

They seem to be snapping up a lot of youngsters as the lure for the big players is no longer there again yet, unless it’s just money they are after.

Jadon Sancho actually wanted to go to Chelsea. That aside I think United reached a point where they weren’t going to be mugged off for the money involved, especially in the current situation.
