A loan move for Tom Davies (EVE) appears to be gathering momentum. Hardly an inspiring move and not really the physical, brutish ball playing mid we were after, I see him more in a JWP mould but obviously to a lesser capacity.

Loaning Everton's fifth choice CM is not really going to set the fan base alight.

Is our famous black box broken?

Surely there are better targets out there? Not dissing Davies, he would be a good addition, but as a JWP backup. We need some steel in the midfield.

It’s not steel we need. Gone have the days of the Tomeu type player - well apart from us 🙈 we need fast, quick thinking, comfortable with and without the ball, tracks his man, tackles properly, doesn’t ball watch, can play a decisive pass, can score.
We do not need Romeu 2 or PEH 2 . way too slow for the modern game.
