Unbelievably only one week until palace. Given the current players available, what would your starting XI be?

Mine would look like;

McCarthy
KWP Salisu (if fit enough) Bednarek Bertrand
Romeu JWP
Armstrong Redmond
Ings Adams

Feel Salisu may need a bit longer to bed in, if so Stephens will probably slot in. I'd imagine the bench would contain Forster, Valery or Vokins, Stephens or Vestergaard, Smallbone, Djenepo, Obafemi, Long

In the longer term I'd love djenepo to claim a spot in the first team, maybe even as a free forward playing off Ings to let him run riot, but we are probbaly still one or two signings short of a properly competitive squad.

CM and a forward still wanted - right now I'd expect a CM to come in at best.

I think your starting 11 is probably going to be our main one for this season SaintGGsy. I don't think Salisu will start from game 1. I can't imagine him becoming a regular until November, I guess it will all depend on how we start the season. If Stephens and Bednerak play well together and we're keeping clean sheets, then I see no reason for Salisu to play.

The lack on depth in CM concerns me, if you consider the 2 seasons ago, we had JWP, Romeu, Lemina, Davis and Hojbjerg. I guess that Armstrong can play that role if he needs to with Boufal and Djenepo taking his place.

According to Martin Semmens (Club CEO) . Ralph is happy with the squad and he doesn't want to bring anyone new in. Due to how strong we finished last season, he doesn't think that any signings would improve the squad.

I still think that we're 1 maybe 2 players short but I believe that Semmens also said that with the transfer window being open for a few more weeks if it becomes apparent that we need someone else or if the right player becomes available at the right price we could still bring in another player.

If a young player becomes available for the right place that’s probably our only move to make. Just seen Hoedt - who of course is a superb defender in the ilk of Lovren and has been very vocal on how great he is - wants to leave but won’t take any sort of pay cut.

Given he’s stealing a living as a footballer already that’s pretty disgraceful. At least he, Lemina and Carrillo will be off the wage books for good next June.
