Great team. Hopeful. Watford doing what we would have and play five at the back and look to withstand pressure and be clinical - something we can't do.

Back five is fine, it's settled, PLAY DANSO, but it's fine. Toefal is back which is good.

No Armstrong is a blow, but front four of Redmond Djenepo Ings and Obafemi looks versatile and dangerous, with Boufal off the bench to come. We should definitely score but still cautious, considering our last televised home game ended 0-9.

0-1 against the bottom side after 77 minutes. And we won. Unbelievable. Hopefully this’ll turn our season around - heads didn’t drop, we kept going and you just had a feeling JWP was going to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Superb. Sets us up well for the next few games but not happy yet - onto Norwich.

{Ed047's Note - it was a great comeback GG and what a free kick, really enjoyed the game.

For once we were quite watchable in the second half which is nice to see - if Long were any other PL forward he’d have had a hat trick - chances are coming now it’s just about being clinical.

Hopefully, RH goes with the same starting 11 that finished the game on Saturday. We looked like a different side with Boufal, he brings a spark of unpredictability to our attack that I don't feel we get with Redmond. Watching Redmond he's always looking to beat the man and shift the ball onto his right foot whereas Boufal was whipping balls on his left foot and trying to go around defenders.
A needed 3 points that were picked up but there's still quite a lot of polishing to do. We needlessly gave the ball away plenty of times, Jack Stephens made a mistake that lead up to the goal, McCarthy made a quality save to deny it from being 2-0. The press didn't work quite as well as it could of but this will get better if we keep the same formation.

Hopefully the first home win is a sign of better things to come. We could potentially go unbeaten for the next 4 games and pick up between 8-10 points which would be great. Onwards and upwards!

I have been saying for some time how slow and predictable our play has been, slowed down by midfield particularly. As has been said before, Redmond sprints a few feet, stops, looks inside, and you always know he is 'shifting ball onto his right foot'

It is not until you remove Romeu from midfield that you realise what a difference it makes - although JWP in the first half seemed to think no matter where he was on the pitch he had to pass backwards!

Boufal has to play every game, he is out and out our best playmaker, with Djenepo those two are a deadly combination. Hopefully Ralph has now realised that trying to win is far better than trying not to lose! and we have the attacking players to do it!
