Fantastic interview with Ralph Krueger on the beeb.

Answers all the questions from the bed wetters, the panic people. real show of strength and an openness and communication of our plan to the fans who failed to see what we've been doing. This has been a really positive week for us! Takeover announced, saints holding firm with van dijk and being linked with good players.

" our transfer business isn't finished yet" - Ralph Krueger. Let's hope we can bag a couple of goals against a poor west ham side on Saturday and really kick our season off early doors.

Come on saints!

I expect a new CB, VVD to stay until Jan (min. ) Would cover all bases.

Think some of the VVD situation may revolve around whether Wesley Hoedt signs. There may then be this crazy money offer for Virgil that may get SFC off the hook due to it being too good to turn down. Keeps us guessing though I suppose, some football clubs have more U turns than the current government so nothing is set in stone until 3rd September. I still think we will sell him but I would be very pleased to be proved wrong.

Kruger said not this window, hoet do bed in and release virgil if there is still interest in January making a tidy profit. I. e the Southampton way.

But what's Virgil's next move now he isn't in the Dutch squad? Surely he cannot continue not to play? Time had run out for him.

I agree with you Saintmark but can't see us letting VVD sit around on full wages for 4 months and do we really want him playing for us for half a season knowing he's off in January. I think we will take the money if it is over the price we expect. Can't see any purpose to it otherwise even though our stance on this is admirable. Just say we were in 4th position when the January window opened and VVD was actually part of the side that got us there, wouldn't we be back to square one by being in a position that it would be damaging to us to let him go then . Tricky one this but I say just let him go, he might find it isn't the wonderful move he thinks he's getting and he may find that out the hard way like Lovren did.

Lovren isn't as good as vvd I think but I agree that its way easier being a part of our backline instead of liverpool's. I mean moreno or bertrand, no contest.

Surely if VVD is fit, but refuses to play, he's in breach of his contract. Do we have to pay him? Mmm. Not sure that that would help this situation!

Some sources are saying that we're awaiting Coutinho's departure before offering LFC VVD for £80m. I'd take that for the unprofessional Dutchman - thanks very much!
