I love the fact that all of the Everton fans are banging on about Koeman basically already being manager; yet a compensation package has yet to be agreed and that means Koeman hasn't actually spoken to Everton yet.

His agent came out ON SKY SPORTS NEWS and said that his quotes were taken far out of context by Dutch reporters and that the terms of compensation between the clubs are still being finalised. Could be that the lack of noise from Southampton could be them not wanting to unsettle Koeman going into the last year of his contract and make him want to leave - while also telling Everton to politely shove their compensation where the sun don't shine. :-)

I have to admit I thought that it has all taken a long time, do manager transfers usually take this long ED'S?

that statement did seem a bit like his tactics to get koeman more money went wrong and he's backtracking. Either that or he's panicking over a potential tapping up suit.
