Rumour starting to circulate that Ronald is to be placed on gardening leave until the end of his contract with the cost of his salary being recovered by legal proceedings taken against Everton and his Agent for an illegal approach. Oh how I wish this turned out to be true! There is no reliable source for this so probably just speculation.

It's safe to say someone with imaginative thinking, is dreaming up all sorts. He's pretty much gone, it's football it happens, onto the next one.

Can't see this to be true but I wish it was. Haven't ever heard of this happening before anywhere.

Didn't know that SSS. Either sign a new contract with us then RK or get pruning those roses for a year.

EDD's? Do you think we can make an educated guess that Koeman has flown off on holiday because we (Southampton FC) have agreed a settlement with Everton for Koeman but that we are holding up the final confirmation until we have found our new manager?

I just can't see Koeman flying off on holiday without everything being done, southampton have agreed but stipulated that nothing can be announced until we have a replacement in place? It's only what I'm thinking, not what I've heard.

{Ed002's Note - No, he had a holiday planned and is taking it. Nothing more, nothing less.}

Fair enough, again I know it's paper talk but the mirror are saying that apparently the hold up has been from our end, stipulating a no poaching clause in the contract, as Koeman is keen to potentially take some players with him.

do you see such a clause possible EDD?

{Ed002's Note - It would be very difficult to include as part of any contract and to then make it legally binding. It is very common for clubs to have a "gentleman's agreement" over such matters.}

Wait, there's a clause like that? Is there any concrete evidence that a "no poach" clause has been inserted before? Preferably in football. Eds?

{Ed002's Note - See above please.}

Is anyone else getting bored with waiting for the announcement? First SSN say 1 pm today then someone else say it's Wednesday. Does anyone know? Is it that our board are not letting him go without ripping Everton off good and proper? Seems we are delaying. Is there an ulterior motive as we still hold all the cards? Just putting it out there.

Thanks EDD, I did think I can't see how such a clause could be legal, gentleman's agreement sounds more realistic but certainly don't expect Everton or Ronald come to that matter adhering to it : (
