A couple of things reported to sky sports.

koeman has said he would only be tempted away by a big club in england or europe. so that's the likes of barcelona, real madrid, bayern etc. I think he's in need of a new contract asap .

Southampton are anticipating that wanyama could be tempted away this summer.

pelle could also agitate for a move away .

saints want too add a right winger this summer.

well the thing with articles like that, they just state what they believe or have heard. There's no quote from Koeman or anything it's all speculation like when I pointed out a few names I had heard we were interested in its speculation nothing behind it. Plus I'm not worried over koemans future. I have gone through the last 3 summer transfer windows worried. I'm more relaxed these days. I really believe that Koeman will see out his contract and if he does I fully respect him I'd love for him to stay on at saints for a few more years but if he doesn't then I'm happy because he has given the club anothe platform and the more we build the better we will get and the better mangers and players the club will attract it's all slow progression. But done at the right pace we could be a force in the premier league for years to come.

It might be 2+2=5 but I can see a real possibilty of Oxlade-Chamberlain coming in with Big vic going the other way to Arsenal.

The Ox's international career is stalling and he is in desperate need for regular 1st team football. Also the maths might well add up for Arsenal.

Saints are likely to have a sizable sell on clause which may well give them anything between 10-25% off the going rate for him . Arsenal are in desperate need of a midfield enforcer and Saints would be much happier not having to do business with the "north London yobbos" in fact it is positively appealing to do business with their rivals who have just beaten them to 2nd.

I believe we tore up the sell on clause in the contract with the Ox when we went down the liquidation route much like we did with bale. I think the Ox would be a good signing, however I worry that it isn't a like for like player and we have tadic in that position and I honestly can't see the Ox taking his spot in the team. We would need to pick up a good replacement for VIC and players like him are hard to come by. OR is good cover for him, but not as good. We would need to enter the market for a decent replacement. Too many small quick midfielders like tadic, Ox, JWP, Davis and if he stays, mane. We need some muscle in the centre. For that reason I'm not sure it would be good business. Added to which Ox is very injury prone. No good swapping an important and difficult to replace hard man in the centre for a winger who spends most of his time with the physios.

Vic does not need replacing (if he leaves) . Yes he has the brute strength and muscles but that isn't that essential in modern day football anymore. Tenacity is just as if not more important than muscle mass. And we have an abundance of that in Jordy Clasie and Romeu. Romeu is a very capable replacement, and Harry Reed can have his opportunities.

If it wasn't for Vic's size and ability to knock players off the ball, I don't think clubs would come in for him.
