According to reports, man united are now offering £34 million for Luke Shaw - making him the most expensive teenager ever! Now that's a lot of money for a LB, would you accept this?

1.) 24 Jun 2014
I would accept this but United were reluctlent to pay 30 million so I don't think the 34 million is true, probs some bs story the papers wrote

A newspaper are reporting that Koeman has upset Manchester United by raising Shaw's valuation to £40 million! He is going nowhere then. should do the same for Lallana and Lovrens then!

3.) 24 Jun 2014
Honestly I think we should bite their hands off at that sort of money. Reed has already said the cash will be invested back with player purchases. that's a lot of extra cash to play with. Ashley cole on a free for a one year contract to help Targetts development too. (Would have to work out a way of paying him to keep his salary on par with the others). Likewise if there is an offer on for 30m for Lallana I would take it too. Sounds harsh but I honestly don't think he is worth that sort of money. Hopefully he will prove me wrong tonight in Brazil.

4.) 24 Jun 2014
Take the money and run. Luke Shaw is a good left back. that is it

I suspect that Saints now realise the amount of money to be made from selling shirts with Shaw and 3 on the back, following his recent publicity!

6.) 24 Jun 2014
If (big if) it's true, take the money. It'll double Saints' transfer budget for the summer for the loss of one replaceable player.

£34m is crazy.

7.) 24 Jun 2014
I pretty convinced Ronald Koeman, as first team coach, has no say in the players valuation. He can register his desire to keep him and that's where it ends. It will be the boards decision.

8.) 24 Jun 2014
No they didn't! Why would they, when it has also been "reported" that Saints would accept £30 mill? The £34 mill was just a joke on twitter

9.) 24 Jun 2014
Sell them all if they want to go and re invest with people that want to take the club forward.

This said, I still think a lot of these quotes and prices are paper BS.

10.) 24 Jun 2014
SOLD!

Thanks.

11.) 24 Jun 2014
Apparantly Koeman wants £40m for him, which is crazy money, they'll never pay it though

12.) 24 Jun 2014
Not in any way saying this is true but I would ask for £34 mill plus Hernandez. Were already at £34 why not make it even more unreasonable!

13.) 24 Jun 2014
With 34 million we could buy players eg modric fabregas ( if haven't moved to Chelsea first) Kroos, I no most these players won't come to us but mybe some will.

Sorry but are they really that desperate for him? That's a massive amount of money for him. Seems a bit papertalkish.

If it were true then definitely bite their hands off. We could put that money to amazing use

15.) 24 Jun 2014
Ruffhead, I think we could afford a big transfer fee but even if we could afford the big wages that would come with these guys. The destabilising effect on the rest of the squad would be catastrophic.

16.) 25 Jun 2014
Man U are worried because they didn't buy Bale back in the day and let Spurs outbid them. They see the potential and are willing to risk a lot of money to get Shaw. Personally I think with the money on the table of mid 30m's we should take it. He might be great, he might just be very good but at the end of the day its a hell of a lot of money for a teenager. Just make sure we have a large sell on clause in place and this deal could just be worth double the initial transfer fee. We could easily get a very good LB for 15m or just play Clyne there until Targett is fully ready

17.) 25 Jun 2014
I don't think managers get involved with fees do they - so it's just paper talk. A manager will want a play or will let a player go - it's up to the Club to set a value on comings and goings.

18.) 25 Jun 2014
40 million is a massive fee for a player in his position, but bale was a player in his position at his age and ended up going for 2x as much once he had developed. Shaw will only grow and improve, I personally think he is worth 30m with a 50% sell on fee. We won't get a player of fab or mod quality despite their fee. And I don't want cole, he won't put any effort in for us and his wages would unsettle the squad
