Internet reporting Spurs are going to make an Andros Townsend swap offer for Lallana. Erm. no thanks. Bring the £15M+ to go with it and we might be ready to do business. What do people think of this one?

I'm a Liverpool fan but if I was you guys I would not be happy with that, nowhere near as a good as lallana!

2.) 10 May 2014
Well we never played with proper wingers last season so why start now?

This Lallana situation is getting complicated, that is if you ignore his track record of loyalty and love for the club.

It seems that in addition to Liverpool having already signed him, Tottenham, Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City have also agreed deals. Rather than going down this rather complicated 'shared ownership' deal. I would recommend that a time share arrangement would suit all parties. This at least would alloiw Adam to arrange his diary more easily as he will know where and for whom he will be playing each week.

On another topic, the poster said that the 'internet' was reporting this story, I do hope that it hasn't started to think for itself. This could be a matter of national security. I saw this film where this very situation occurred and it was quite troubling.

Can nobody post on here without a comment from someone without an account saying so and so is leaving?

I somewhat doubt this offer is for real and I am pretty certain it is pretty certain that would be rejected out of hand.

Swap deals sounds better than the 25% Sell On Clause Lallana has with Bournemouth.

Guys apply the same logic to this as you would to anything else in your life;

Do these stories have any quotes? Any provable evidence? They say Lallana had a crunch meeting with Les Reed last night to negotiate his transfer; are there any pictures of him at the training ground, or is the source confirmed as someone who was there?

Evidence: Everything Lallana has outright said has been to the opposite of a transfer. All evidence to support a transfer is circumstantial, assumed, misinformation, circular or unproven.

Maybe he will go, maybe he won't. But where there is truth there are breadcrumbs. If this were all true there would be facts and evidence to support it. There is not, the safe assumption is to assume a lie or misinformation. One media source links a player with a move, many others do the same, one takes it a bit further and says a transfer is nearly done, the others do the same, repeat ad infinitum. If the origin is baseless assume the result is as well.

Remember anyone can claim a source. Sources don't have to verified, it's what keeps them safe from a legal perspective if they are proven to be false. People on here claim sources and we all know they're full of it. Just because these media articles sound more professional and articulate doesn't mean they are any more accurate. When this pops up on the beeb or the OS, then I'll start paying it some mind. Until then I'll disregard as self-perpetuating nonsense without any proof whatsoever.

{Ed001's Note - I would not trust the Beeb, they have been as guilty as anyone lately of unfounded gossip. Unfortunately. Seems to go hand in hand with the general dumbing down of the whole organisation.}

Look guys, Adam isn't leaving. If we are to get a new winger, it won't be in any exchange for lallana. Stop worrying!

Excellent post TJ. Couldn't have put it better if I tried!
